Hermit-a-Day May 2025 - Filled Calendar

Planning calendar + some thoughts under the cut! (includes a bunch of little pose sketches, with some ones that didn’t make it to the final, too)

Art requests and asks open, by the way- I’ll try my best to get around to them! Feel free to send some my way if you like my stuff :D

This year, I wanted to do things a little differently than last year, such as: -Making my own poses -Adding more expressions -Tailoring the poses and expressions for each hermit

Those were my plan from the start. However, it wasn’t until finishing Impulse’s day that I nailed in a formula, which involved: -Limiting the shading to necessary parts -Adjusting all the colors myself for more unity and visual appeal -Using Procreate’s “Aurora” brush to make a background -Making every design be at least somewhat different than the previous year

I’ll probably do something different still if I come back next year, based on the experience I now have from doing two years’ worth of hermitadays! Overall though, I’m pretty decently happy with what I’ve managed to create this year
