When I started painting these mini paintings I had no intention of turning them into finished work. They were supposed to be studies for larger piece for practicing landscape. 🌸SKETCHBOOK NO.6 FLIP-THROUGH🌸 . This one took a long time to complete. Most of my #the100daysproject illustrations are in this one. You may also notice that many of my Sketchbook pages are very rough and unfinished and that's how a Sketchbook is supposed to be - a safe haven for your art. Not every page of your Sketchbook will be picture perfect. As an architect and an artist, I cannot emphasis the wonders of keeping a Sketchbook does for enhancing your skills. Day 100/100 of #the100daysproject . I did it. I did it. I did it. Honestly I was so nervous while painting this since it was the last day of the project. I started this project back in April to improve my watercolor skills. I took too many breaks and even completed #inktober challenge in between. In this past 7 months I have learned a lot about watercolor as well as the place of art in my life. . I started with watercolor patterns then twerk the project a bit to mix both ink and watercolor illustration. I also explored different color palettes in watercolor and who could forget those landscape paintings. I feel so proud of this tiny victory. Thank you all for being a part of this project and a constant motivation for me. Rest assure that this is not an end but just a beginning of my art venture. . If you are also looking to start #100daysproject here are some tips that I learned in the process that I think might help you guys: 🌸 Start small: Let me be completely honest with you guys, 100 days is a big commitment. We often tend to over-commit in excitement of starting a new project. That was my first mistake when I start #the100dayproject last year. If you have never started any project before hand, my advice would be to start small, maybe complete a 30 days project first or any monthly challenge. Once you get in the routine, rest 100 days would be just a piece of cake. 🌸Have an accountability buddy: Projects are fun to do together. Posting of social media does make you accountable but we all know it also bring out the pressure to perform. So even if you don't post your project daily on social media, you and your friend can share it with each other without the pressure and judgement. I still message my best friend or sister who provide me with their honest criticism before I post anything on Instagram. 🌸 Don't be afraid to twerk up: Doing same kind of thing for 100 days might get stagnant and boring to some. There is no hard and fast rule that says you have to keep doing same thing. For example, I started #100daysofwatercolor with watercolor patterns, then changed to ink and watercolor illustration and later also did color palette.
