➡️😻 Cat COWGIRL Pinup Art - Reference & Thumbnails!

I woke up with an image in my head of a cat cowgirl. Why? I dunno! We've got two cats, so cats are never far from my mind. But I wanted her to be kind of a sexy pinup, like a Gil Elvgren Feline.

And for some reason, I have hang-ups about using my own cats for such reference photos. I don't want to see our baby girls that way. Someone else's kitty, fine, I'll sketch that Trollope all day long.

I didn't get very far. This is mostly assembling reference and starting to sketch thumbnails. To be continued.

BTW You're allowed to trace that drawing if you need to, use transparent paper over it just open it on your tablet and put the paper over it and it will glow and you can draw it

1/5 daily paintings for my painting 2 class, each class day we work on a new painting! Reference picture also by me, I was eating cereal for breakfast and scooped up a smiley and knew immediately I wanted to paint it. I love the kandi beads especially, I thrifted a huge bag of these and wanna use them for more projects (they glow in the dark too!)

Hoping to post the entire series of these as I finish and document them!

Trying something new! I've been trying to think of a good DTIYS or something art related that we could do together without breaking isolation, and thought it might be fun to try a sort of figure drawing/anatomy....club...thing. I have an articulated skeleton that I use for pose and anatomy reference, so every few days or so I'll be adding a new pose for you to use as you wish! This isn't an art challenge or contest. Just something fun to do. The poses will be available through a Dropbox folder, the link for which I'll post periodically in my stories. You can use these however you like--any medium, any level of completion--quick sketch, labored oil painting, anything in between. You can draw the skeleton and bones or use the pose as a starting point for any sort of drawing/painting/whatever you like. In fact, I'll encourage you to get creative. Some poses will be full body, some will be sectional. Each one I'll try to have some sort of dramatic lighting and shadow you can use or disregard as you wish. Feel free to save these and use them at any time! Again, there are zero guidelines, zero deadlines. And of course, I'll be posting my studies too :) Each pose I'll include photos with the naked skull as well as with his face for facial feature reference. Let me know what you think!!
