I had a family gathering today due to my grandma’s birthday and I kinda have a love hate relationship with seeing my whole family.

At one side I’m happy to see my one aunt, (most of) my cousins and my grandma. But on the other side I get reminded that my uncle is still the same right winged idiot.

Today I accidentally started a short discussion about Rowling because I didn’t think before speaking and apparently he’s also a transphobe. I would’ve loved to really discuss with him, but I didn’t want to start an argument.

My one cousin (his daughter) isn’t much better when talking about topics like this

btw the katy perry/bezos' girlfriend/other four irrelevant billionaires 10 minute space stunt was not the first all female expedition no matter how much they try to market it as such. the first all female mission was in 1963 with soviet cosmonauts Valentina Tereshkova, Irina Solovyova and Valentina Ponomaryova - all three of which were working class and had to pass incredibly hard exams to be chosen from 400 potential candidates. just in case we started falling for the propaganda machine again

I’m currently rewatching Nimona again

And all I can think when she says she wants to break stuff, or Balastor says “Let’s break stuff” and a few seconds later she starts to sing, or music starts. It would’ve been hilarious if they put the song Break stuff by Limp Bizkit in the movie

Maybe the language doesn’t fit into the movie, but the overall sound of the song would’ve fit perfectly into it

They missed the opportunity for a really great pun
