Wait what’s land rights? (Also I deliberately avoided learning what bench was because this was the era when I’d just watched game of thrones and learned I could not handle graphic depictions of torture but sometimes I have this horrible urge to find out anyway)
i'm not sure how... widespread? this was? but there used to be an inside joke in the silm fandom around 2017 about thingol being a sugar daddy and granting certain elves 'land rights'. there were memes and valentines and fics to go with it, though i'm pretty sure they're all relics by now & not all too easy to track down, but alas-- it was funny in the moment!
