will you be implementing an everstone equivalent in the game, or is there already one in there? i want a mon or two to stay at mid evolution but the thought of having to cancel evolution every single level up is making me worry lol... i tried checking the wiki & searching around this blog but didnt find anything so i figured it couldnt hurt to ask!

You can get one from an Aide in the Sburb Center on Route 10!

i know that the game isnt finished, but is it meant to break upon it being randomized? i used the universal randomizer and upon what is supposed to be the getting the starter scene, absolutely nothing is in the lab to interact with, and you cant leave. it could be a result of me technically using an outside party engine to alter the files and if thats it i totally get it lol

Yeah, there’s been too many changes for the game to be compatible with the randomizer by default. The randomizer would need to be rewritten with the new locations of all the data in order to work properly.

Well, I was playing through it the first time and managed to go straight from the Time denizen, all the way to the White Queen without fighting another gym, totally on accident. Was this intentional that you could skip 2 gyms like that?

That’s a normal quirk of Fire Red. It’s completely possible to skip over gyms 3-5 during the game, but you will need them all defeated in order to defeat the Elite 4 (equivalent).

hey ive been playing sburbmon a bunch recently and ive been kinda concerned about something. is it possible to obtain every pokemon? the fossil sequence in the cave is what first made me question it. i know that the starters (or at least a few of them) are obtainable cus i got roxy and can see the location of karkat in my sylladex. i quite want to collect all of the sburbmon so if it isnt currently possible could you add someone trading for the few others in one of the final cities? thx

It’s not currently possible, but in the full game you will be able to obtain every Sburbmon.

hey, this might be a stupid question, buut... if a sburbmon on the wiki doesn't have it's shiny sprites, would that mean that you can't hunt or find a shiny one in the game?? i wanna try and get the amporas as shinies, but from what i've seen they don't have their shiny sprites. :(

Don’t worry, the pictures just haven’t been uploaded to the wiki yet, it’s very under construction. Anything you can catch ingame has a shiny form available.

I was lvling my crocodile when it learned the move glare, but the move description goes off the edge of the page. I wasn't sure if you knew about this, but I thought I'd bring it to your attention just in case :3

New Things:

Prospit has been opened up! Explore the city, defeat the White Queen's Lair, and more.

New Sburbmon: Added Kurloz line to Route 13 and a secret unlockable mon at the top of Skaianet HQ.

Evolution Stone Update:

You can finally obtain every kind of Evolution Stone!

Scratch and Kernel Stones have been added to the Derse Black Market, and more elusive stones like the Sucker and Kernel2 Stones are located in Prospit.

Early Game Cleanup:

Adjusted the map edits to Route 1/2/3 and LOWAS

Route Theme 1 has been added

Run has been enabled from game start. As such, there's a new present waiting for you upon defeating Typheus.

Catching tutorial has been made optional

Cleaned up some NPC text that was still too close to default

Sylladex Changes:

National Dex is no longer required to be stealth-given. It doesn't break old save files that have it, but things look nicer if you don't.

Unobtainable mons have been placed outside of the main dex, so the empty entries for the Dino Trio (and more?) won't taunt you

Habitats have been changed into Categories and properly set up

Size comparison has been replaced with something more useful: It now displays the base stats for the Sburbmon as well as their abilities.

Bugfix Things:

Fixed GT Vriska switching abilities on evolution

Fixed Ryan's incorrect palette in the naming screen

Fixed Sollux's gender marker not displaying

Misc Things:

Ectoslime's ability is now Liquid Ooze, because Gooey was causing problems

Removed Spikes from the game because I didn't actually fix it

Horsaponi has been removed from the wild (you can still trade an NPC for it)

The bell noise when you ride your Pony has been replaced with a more appropriate horse noise

The Pokedollar symbol has been replaced with the Boondollar symbol

Polished up the Trainer Battle theme

Various mon movesets have been adjusted

Various mon base stats have been adjusted

Various items names and icons have been updated

Various mon sprites have been cleaned or updated

What is still being worked on, like are there more sprites to be done or is it just code related?

Yep, we’re continuing to work on it slowly but surely!  I don’t have anything in front of me, but I think most of what we need is still sprites.  The next patch is adding a bunch of stone evolutions: just the scratch stone is something like 20 new back and front sprites.

I have the music box, i'm talking about the rock in the water that's blocking part of the dock after the house with the real wand inside. Is that suppose to still be there?

It shouldn’t be, no. Might just be sticking around in your RAM from an old patch. Try going into a house, saving using the ingame save system (not savestates) and then closing the emulator and reloading.

Excuse me but, I have the ver for 5.1.0 and even tho it says it lets you go to the routes to get to LOFAF. It's still blocked, did you simply forget to remove it or is LOFAF still not available?

Nope, LOFAF is completely accessible. Is the route blocked by a crystal? If so, you may not have progressed enough in the game to clear them.

Uh, is it normal for when you put a different patch to a existing game with a save it just deletes the save?

No, it isn’t. All save games should be forwards compatible with new patches, at least currently. Is the .sav file still present in the folder? If it is, make sure it’s still titled the same as the rom file.

Is this still being worked on?

Slowly but surely, yes!  Unfortunately we have only a handful of people working on the game, all of who are just a lot busier now than when this first started.  Along with certain roadblocks, such as our current lack of sprite artists, make development take longer than we would like.  That being said we will be sure to post something if this project ever does truly die (but don’t turn your back on the body)

i think you might be confused, friend! our last patch was released 7 months ago, and our last post on this blog was just a week ago, so i’m not sure where you’re getting your “3 years” figure from... as you can see we are still very active ^^
