Erza followed the movement through alleyways, glad that she had taken the time to review her tracking skills. She was sure the shadow kept moving as though to throw her off of its trail, but that wouldn't happen ever! Natsu’s breakdown was very good for his character development, I think, considering that he’s only ever broken down like this when he fought Gildarts. But this was different.

Natsu, ever cheerful Natsu, crawled his way to Future Lucy’s body with his fresh wounds. He was so choked up that he was shaking. The only thing he could sob out was Lucy’s name and some unintelligible sounds. I don’t know about you guys, but seeing Natsu hunched over and sobbing over the dead body of the girl he loves, gives me chills. It might not have been romantic love in this situation yeah, but the bond they have speaks for itself.

Natsu said he would defeat Future Rogue, but by the way he reacted to Future’s Lucy’s death, I wouldn’t be surprised if Natsu tried to put Future Rogue six feet under. And that’s just not like Natsu to want to kill someone. It would take something like an emotional breakdown for Natsu’s mentality to change like that.

And an unstable Natsu is friggin’ scary.

Erza stretched after she climbed off her camel, thankful that the journey was almost over. Now, she just had to find out where the palace was, and then she would start the simplistic job of filling in as a guard of the main entrance.

Erza takes a job in Xing

Erza stretched after she climbed off her camel, thankful that the journey was almost over. Now, she just had to find out where the palace was, and then she would start the simplistic job of filling in as a guard of the main entrance.

Now, where was said palace? Erza was usually good with directions, but this was a foreign place and she was slightly disoriented from her long journey. Maybe, if she went through the marketplace...

"It doesn't happen too often, really, just women who seem to need help," Erza spoke without thinking, still wrapped in her own thoughts about joining the guild.

“Took away the rain, huh?” Erza mused quietly, almost to herself. “He seems to do that for people.”

Kagura rubbed her fingers. She was so determined earlier, when she could barely stand from her wound. Now, she was standing in front of Erza Scarlet, not sure what to do. Her feelings were conflicted- she at first wanted to kill the woman, and then she discovered the truth. Simon's little sister didn't know where to start. Kagura quickly berated herself, however, for being so timid. She stood up and walked over to the bandaged woman, and formally greeted her, "Hello, Erza."

Erza smiled sadly at the woman, remembering exactly how they had met all those years ago and how she had sacrificed her safety for the woman. "You lived," she told Kagura softly, feeling a bit successful, knowing that someone had lived because of her actions.

“If you’re sure,” Erza shook her head. She would probably still beat him for something else. “What exactly was it that made you so interested in him?” She asked, curious about the origin of her affection toward the ice mage.

“You should follow through on your decisions. Gray won’t bite if you try to talk to him. I know he’s important to you, and he knows that.” Erza smiled, remembering her own relationship with the ice mage when she was younger. “He did a lot for me, too.”
