okay, it would probably take the longest time for Alex to actually ask you if you would go with him to the homecoming

he would need the support of the whole Alvarez fam, Schneider included

and Abuelita would give the final push, for sure

but once Alex would get his shit together, he would ask you out in the sweetest way possible

he would buy you the traditional flower and would even have some classical music going on in the background

and who could say no to that?

you both would be incredibly excited for the ‘big’ night

Alex would even escort you to the school’s temporary ballroom

it would actually be Schneider driving you two there, but that’s not important

at first, it would be quite awkward

you wouldn’t seem to find the right topic that would keep the conversation alive for more than 30 seconds, and Alex would ask you if you wanted a drink every minute

but once the dj would play both of your favourite song, the ice would finally break and you couldn’t stop talking for the rest of the night

Alex wouldn’t even care about his (fake) friends the whole night– he would be happy enough in your company

he would think that you’re the bubbliest, funniest and the most amazing person to ever exist

at first, you would be insecure about your dance moves but you’d let go of your worries quite soon and would let yourself go wild, making Alex laugh uncontrollably every now and again

and when they would play a slow song, Alex would ask you to dance with him

you would let him lead you, taking your breath away during the whole 4 minutes of the song

you would be swinging there, chest to chest, your head in the crook of his neck, inhaling the amazing smell of his cologne

once the song would end and you’d have had enough of the crowd, Alex would lead you out of the gym and would show you his secret spot

that’s where he would confess his true feelings for the first time ever

and that’s where your first kiss would happen

You two would be way too nervous, since you’d be head-over-heels for each other.

Once you’d get closer, it would get more and more easier and you would spend so much time with each other, telling each other everything.

At the beginning of your relationship, you would try to keep it a secret, so your families wouldn’t freak out.

But Elena would find out.

Alex would actually tell his sister first, who would be extremely supportive of your relationship, but also overprotective of both of you.

“The door needs to be left open!”

“No secret whispering, I can hear you!”

And so on.

Lydia would actually celebrate the fact that Alex has a partner and she would constantly bombard you with questions, even awkward ones (mostly awkward ones).

for the last 2+ weeks, the Amazon has been catching fire. Yes, it’s the season where that’s normal but because of the sayings (aka incentive) of our new president, some farmers are taking advantage of that and intentionally setting the trees on fire. Yesterday, because of this, the sky of São Paulo looked like this. AT THREE IN THE AFTERNOON.

Hospitals of the northern states are filling up with people (especially children and seniors) claiming they can’t breathe properly. ALREADY ENDANGERED ANIMALS ARE DYING. THIS IS SERIOUS.

Germany and Norway, huge donators to the Amazon cause will stop sending money because they don’t see results (that can also be credited to our president, who has been tweeting angrily ever since - not because he cares about the environment, btw). That money gives this guy and his team equipment to save little guys like these:

THIS AFFECTS EVERYONE, NOT JUST BRAZILIANS. The Amazon is the largest rainforest in the world, and it’s being destroyed. WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING.

If your country is holding elections, vote for someone who cares about this. Don’t let another Bolsonaro or another Trump have the power to do something and then do nothing. This is going to shape our future — if we have one.
