First of all, welcome to Tumblr!
That said, what can you tell us about the conlang that is used in each of your posts so far? what is its phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, sample texts, etc?
Other than that, I look forward to your future posts.
Till next time... ;).
Thanks!
So, I call it Hydrean (or Hydrea'ti) and it's more of a code than a full-fledged conlang!
It started as just some glyphs that I thought might look cool next to each other and then developed grammar and phonetics later on... the glyphs kinda formed everything else. So for phonetics, different vowels tend to indicate a different category of glyph or grammar point, and then vowels next to each other tend to get diphthong-ized to make words smoother and quicker to pronounce. The accents in written Hydrean are much more clear for this; in spoken Hydrean, you would just have to know by context. Words are made in code from some root word, and then suffixes determine things like tense, possession, emphasis, interrogation, or can be used to make compound words in a similar way to German or a short-form verb attached to a noun in Japanese. Prefixes don't really exist in Hydrean... Then, word order generally follows SVO but certain words have more flexibility when it comes to where in the sentence they appear. There are some grammar points I borrowed from French or Japanese, but they generally match English syntax and grammar. Some words can be made by joining two words, like "täijh'ujhá" is "the quality/state of most sadness" (sad + quality + most) but translates more closely to "depression."
Here's what it looks like written in cursive:
I hope that was a detailed-enough answer! I have other conlangs/codes, but I almost never use them because this one is the only one I've memorized!
Anyways, thanks for the question and I really appreciate your kind words!! :)))
-Ciao !
