At this point I should probably change my bio to “I’m an illustrator who designs sometimes” given what my feed looks like… BUT, I designed something cool. And yes, it’s Ghost Band related. There’s a super cool (+18) roleplay server around the Ghost Band Universe (no offense, but you won’t find any better, sorry 💅) The server recently went through a rebrand and I was in charge of the visual stuff. So naturally, I said “Sure” and then spiraled into madness. I decided to go with the recognizable thing and that's the official logo. BAD NEWS! there's no font for that. So after I analyzed 76+ gothic fonts (not exaggerating, the folder said 76 the last time I checked but then got more fonts) and had an identity crisis over how the official “G” looks like an “S”... I came up with a fully vectored logo and a little custom font of my own. Then tortured myself in blender to make it 3d and make some retopology (sorry blender I love you but your curves to mesh for vectors suck). Then proceeded to spent more than 5 hours messing around with materials and color combinations until I came up with the picture you are seeing. I'm very proud of the whole process and result. The shoot was done, thank Lucifer. Days of wrangling talent, fixing makeup, and reminding Copia for the third time that “ghoulishly sexy” wasn’t the direction they were going for in a horror themed video. Now, her part in this cursed cinematic task was over. There were schedules to maintain. Paperwork to file. Unholy PR disasters to fix. She had, very graciously, agreed to the Ministry’s offer of a short vacation for those involved. A reward. A thank you. A well earned break. The forest was silent in the way only cold places could be, the trees standing still like they were holding their breath. Fog rolled thick across the lake just down the hill, its surface glassy and untouched. Sister Imperator stood outside the too big for its own good cabin, coat wrapped tight around her shoulders. The structure loomed behind her like a giant dollhouse, two floors, ten rooms, and at least one fireplace that absolutely didn't work despite everyone's insistence that it looked like it should. It was… like a painting, if your idea of a postcard involved dense pine trees and the feeling that something might be watching you from the shadows. She adjusted her gloves, exhaled sharply, and muttered under her breath “Ten rooms. Nine idiots. One Papa. What could possibly go wrong?” With one last long look at the fog creeping up the hill, Sister Imperator clicked her heels against the frozen ground and walked towards the Ministry car. “I’m sure they’ll be fine” she said to herself, sliding into the backseat with the dignity of a woman who had already accepted that something terrible was probably going to happen and she’d be blamed for it anyway. The car left. Behind her, the fog rolled in thicker. The trees swayed just slightly. And inside the too many roomed cabin, the Ministry's little vacation began. Then, in an unexpected burst of magic, every cell phone in the ministry vanished, leaving ghouls bewildered and patting empty pockets. Phones were now locked away in a secret part of the ministry, far beyond reach, leaving Copia utterly pleased with his mysteriously successful "No Phones" week, whether or not he had any idea where they went.
