Another art I so far only posted on AO3. Medieval or Fantasy AU featuring Knight Tony and a touch starved Bucky.

Did knight Tony come and save Bucky and can now take care of him with so many hugs, and wrap him in his cloak protectively? Did knight Tony come home to his lover after a long time fighting?

This way or that, Bucky can now get the hugs he deserves and they can cling to each other and enjoy each other's embrace.

They break for tents early, and Bucky ends up standing with Clint during the first watch, now chewing on paranoia as Loki prowls the borders of the camp. Every so often, there’s a flash, a shimmer of green lighting up his fingertips before painting the dirt. Runes, maybe. Shields. Wards. Which probably means shit’s about to go tits-up. Or it already has, and no one had the decency to clue Bucky in. “You feelin’ safe yet?” he smirks at Clint. “Oh yeah,” Clint spits at his feet with real gusto. “As safe as an unwrapped dick in a brothel during plague season.” Bucky agrees. Unnerving, this place. Doesn��t look that malicious. Just deep. Old. The deer they ate earlier tasted normal—gamey, coppery, nothing worth writing home about. But there’s something spoiled under all this bark, gotta be, or why bother wasting magic.

Notes: So this story was written to  @winterironevents prompts for each chapter. Just want to give everyone a head's up on this one. This story is a Tony/Bucky story and while Tony is engaged to someone else in this story, I never explicitly state who Tony is engaged to throughout as I'll leave that up to the reader's imagination given that this is a WinterIron story centering around an affair that includes cheating within the context of the story itself where their road to finding one another is concerned. I don't usually write stories about cheating, but in this instance Tony is very much engaged when his flirtation with Bucky begins. Keep that in mind when reading this one as it's an aspect of their romance, but I hope for those who are curious you stick around and find out :)
