My Favorite Christmas Movie... It’s a Wonderful Life Review
It’s a Wonderful Life is in my opinion the best and it is no doubt my favorite. The overwhelmingly positive message alongside the timeless story of George Bailey is just a magic combination that always works wonders on me. I personally believe that the best strength of this movie is James Stewart. I believe that he adds a certain relatable charisma to the character of George that I feel would be lost with any other actor. In conclusion, It’s a Wonderful Life is a heartwarming story that always reminds me to value my life and make the most of it.

A Star Wars aged like bread...
I just re-watched Star Wars: A New Hope the other day and I must admit, I found it hilariously cheesy, which is not a bad thing! Although it made me question whether or not the series as a whole has aged that well. In my personal opinion it has not at all aged that well. I believe that Star War is definitely a  product of it’s time. It dominated the box office with it’s revolutionary special effects and blew the audiences minds. Although, as of today I believe that today Star Wars has become nothing more then a cash grab. There is nothing revolutionary about the special effects and nothing new that they are bringing to the table. The special effects used are similar to that of The Avengers, Justice League, and any other live action Disney Property.

Has The Shining aged well?
Personally I love The Shining. Love the book, love the film, love everything about it. Although, I don’t know if it exactly holds up when it comes to newer audiences. You see, I watched the film with my girlfriend (who has never seen the film before) and while she said that it did in fact make her feel uneasy, she never though that it was truly scary and she questioned why I insisted upon showing her that film. I tried to explain the techniques that Kubrick used to make it a staple in the horror genre, but she didn’t buy it. Now, that being said, my girlfriend is not a film major and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but it made me wonder if anyone else has the same experience/ opinion? I personally love the eerie tension building that pulsates throughout the film as Jack slowly begins to slip away from sanity and I believe it to be one of the greatest thrillers of all time. No matter what age I am, this horror staple will never lose touch with me.

Most Human War Movie? Deer Hunter
I believe that “The Deer Hunter” in my own opinion is the most human war movie there is. Sure there are a lot of war movies out there and the majority of them do a damn good job of conveying their message of human heroism mixed with a compelling exploration of the human spirit. It’s just that to me “The Deer Hunter” conveys this in the best way. For it doesn’t just focus on the aspect of “war is hell” but instead shows the entire timeline of a small town man who lives his life through the Vietnam era. The film beautifully depicts the simple stages of his life and then contrasts it with the horrific experience of war and how it changes the minds of Micheal and Nick. Personally I believe it to be, not only my favorite, but one of the best war films out there and I’d highly recommend it to those who have not seen it.
