My final week of my first year of Art Fight! I managed to get 32 drawings done which is crazy considering the time since I last drew/actually fully rendered stuff. Some clearly were stronger but hey not bad for basically one a day after months of drawing hiatus.

Been a minute! Here's Arkyn riding a Raindyr! Raindyr are creatures that are used as transportation in Elkinor. They're even kept purely as pets sometimes due to their friendly nature. I swear I'll post more, I'm just a slow artist LOL

does the Bible say marriage is only one man and one woman? I’ve been seeing some controversy about that on my dash and some saying the scripture was never clear about that.

Genesis 2:24

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

Leviticus 18:22

You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.

1 Corinthians 6:9

Seeing as how the Bible gives us descriptions of how a husband and wife should act towards each other in a Christian marriage, how a man is to leave his parents to be with his wife, and many other verses about heterosexual marriages, and how homosexual relationships are forbidden by God, we can assume that true marriage is between a man and a woman. The Bible never calls a homosexual pair a marriage, or mentions roles in a homosexual relationship. Only heterosexual. So yes, the Bible does say that marriage is between a man and woman only.

It will never be overused because the power of love is an incredibly important lesson to teach to everyone, everywhere, all the time; we are nothing without it (really, we are nothing without love’s Creator, the One whose perfect love we should do everything in our power to emulate). It’s also just super sweet and wholesome.

Random Thought- But can we please have Bible movies with the budgets/Effort that we get from movies like 300 and Hercules? Because I LOVE movies like these, but I want some about the Bible. Like the Story of Samson? Can you imagine how awesome a movie about Solomon or King David would be if it had the cinematic value as the movies about the Greek/Egyptian gods had???

Who's the main character of your novel, and why (what makes him the main character)?

Oooh shoot! I didn't expect to get asks so soon!

The main character is Arkyn Thorburn, one of the twin princes of Elkinor. Besides just being the first character for this story that I created, he's the true main character because he's a chosen one—specifically chosen by God to carry out a very important task (freeing Ziel from a wicked entity that seeks to claim it).

There are two others that accompany him who are also chosen ones: His twin brother, Aesir, and an unlikely friend they met shortly after the story's beginning, Kaera. The three of them are actually representative of the Holy Trinity in a few ways.

Also... Arkyn is my favorite. I can't even explain why.

Project: EMBER

✦ STORY SYNOPSIS ✧

An abundant world sees war and destruction yet again. The Advanced Guard sets on pursuit of the Crimson Moon, whom are now classified as a terrorist group, seeking to obtain control of the Elemental Rings to dethrone their leaders and take head of the world. A mage’s mishap sparks a terrible fire that sweeps a humble village to its very foundation. The commotion leaves an eerie still. 

~ • ~ 

Some years pass. A young Lycan named Ember, haunted by his fiery past, is soon to discover that perhaps the smoke that veiled his eyes are soon to pass, revealing that things are not as they seem..

Majestic creatures, uncharted lands, malicious mages, long-lost companions, and the Sword of the Spirit..?

All these seem a bit foreign to a mere tiller of the ground.

This story involves Ember, a boy of his latter teens, struggling to look away from his past, who is encountered by a The Sovereign, who tasks him to embark on a perilous odyssey that he could never have imagined to take part in.

Are you willing to forsake the life you know for a new One? What will you give up for Him?

This is still a work in progress, but I have been working little by little towards its completion. To whoever sees this, I hope you may enjoy this!

Arkyn Thornburn [Soulstrung @scriptrixdeo]

Arkyn is one of two twin princes of the kingdom Elkinor, an arctic land home to the race of Vulkar. He's the main character of SOULSTRUNG. He's incredibly creative and can imagine his way out of almost any problem. He has a strong desire for justice; he can be a formidable force when he needs to be (and perhaps when he doesn't). He wears his heart on his sleeve, and is quite the emotional type in general. He's also a tad... well, he has a short fuse when it comes to protecting the innocent. He has a magical sword gifted by God and he's not afraid to use it.
