something heartbreaking about taking down the posters in your bedroom. something about yearning for your next stage of life. i'm not poetic but peeling the blue tac off the wall brought me to tears, i've only been able to do 8/73. eight of the interests i balanced on my bedframe to display so proudly now sat in my recycling bin to be collected on thursday. i don't want to grow up but i want to touch the walls of my uni accommodation and know that once again, this space is mine. for the next year at least.

i like the phrases "it's not for me," "it's not my thing," and "i'm not the target audience" because they're the most concise way to express "this thing that you enjoy has merits but idgaf about it" without being aggressive
