(**WARNING: I got a bit angry as I wrote this, so if you’ve got sensitive ears/reading eyes..move on.) Today’s my sir’s (very small) 1st birthday party! 🥳 I, however, won’t be attending. Nor will his Popo, Aunt Jocelynn (who cried..ok, maybe I teared up a little also) or Uncle Isaac (who took off JUST for this day). The reason we won’t be going is because someone who our son works with tested positive for COVID. And we’ve still got the rest of this week to watch for symptoms in our home.🏡He only worked with her once - briefly. And they all wear masks daily. She didn’t even work for the majority of the week. The funny thing is, I’m LESS worried about this than I’ve been about being around those who choose to go around OTHERS that selfishly won’t wear a mask. BUT..we’re still not going. Why? Because we care more about that slim chance of getting our sweet sir or my pregnant daughter & our son-in-love sick.😷 So. That’s the reason for my post today. Since I can’t be with the people I love - I’m sharing my DISGUST for those who don’t seem to give a sh1t about anyone but themselves! Wear a freaking mask for God’s sake. Stop being a pu$$y. “Waaah! It’s too hot. I can barely breathe with it on! It goes against my rights.” 🙄 Suck it up. You big babies. There. Our youngest daughter told us that we needed to “practice kindness” by getting in the pool with her. Let’s talk about labels. Ever notice how people put everything into a category? I even have categories for the different areas and roles in my life! For instance, I talk about “my walk of faith“ or “my prayer life“ and “my role as a mom”… And some of the labels I put on things are just – well, strange.

Life can be so difficult. Sometimes it feels like we’re just going about everything completely wrong. But it can be so hard to even form a clear thought. And nothing seems to bring answers or clarity. For some, they might simply decide to go along with a crowd, in hopes of getting it right. However, that only tends to lead further in the opposite direction. I always have a compass to revert back to, when I find myself questioning what’s just. And I typically work it out through writing. ✍🏼 Because I‘m undoubtedly in need of guidance. And I‘m not always happy with the decisions that I make. There are some things that we just know, though. Like, God’s strength, for instance. It’s certainly not difficult to grasp. It never has been. All of creation points to it. Some stuff is just obvious.
