Mexico days 18, Pyramid Tepoztlan Sunny sunday, we went to tepoztlan, and travel through the motorcycle route. And saw a lot of motorcycles in the town of Tres Marias. Then , Pueblo Magico Tepoztlan, they are called pueblo magico, because they maintain the colonial infrastructure, and is supported by the government to make the town for tourism. We had lunch at Los Colorines, a traditional Mexican Restaurant, Chillie Relleno, stuffed chillies with meat, cheese ... and also huazontle... The sauce excellent and also some totopos with guacamole. Later, alone, I hiked to the pyramid of tepoztlan, an hour aprox hike and climb trial... my cousin lied that was a 20 min hikking to the top... my bad to trust those words... jajajjaja but the trip was worthy and could see the afternoon sun from the top of the pyramid. It was a good way to say good bye to the year 2018. Mexico day 16, Veracruz Christmas weekend Great weekend in veracruz, with cousins, we went on a road trip, and learnt new things in mexico and it's coffee.. The rich culture and growing cities is good... but some times the good old things are worth to keep... like lechera at @grancafedelaparroquia . A traditional way of making latte.. We also went to Cordoba, a claimed coffee city but not a coffee cultured people, we only found @htcoffeemasters , the most fancy and well equipped coffee shop so far in this city... tried local coffee... excellent. Also the coffee museum was great to visit. It's is a downside that coffee is for the tourist main atracction, and locally is not that important.... Later again, at veracruz, at @impetus.mx we had a simple breakfast. Nice and simple ... veracruz coffee is clean ... And dinner, at El Bayo, fresh and local seafood, great flavours and cheap but high quality ingredients~~ best sea food so far.. Mexico day 14, cafe racer This weekend was everything new, went to some posadas aka party, and went to a special one, a posada por motoqueros, at cafeina racer Got to knew lot of people and learn a lot from this motorcycling world. Hope to learn and mix this world with the coffee world.. and make something really worth to see.. I got to see that family is important here in mexico... Lot of drinks, tequila and mezcal.. good good ahhahaha strong and for those with iron liver... Mexico day 13, motorbike During the week, one day I started to learn to ride a motorcycle, everything new and great experience... step by step... hope to make it... Also, playing with my new aeropress hajajajaj a bliss to prepare and drink this mexican coffee.. a new environment that some ways of recipes needs some adjustment... Some street food, called Tortas, Hot sandwiches that can fill your hungry belly.. and the spicy just right.. Mexico day 12, coffee again Monday, I was at home, sorry I was just resting... Today, I went out to drink new type of drips. Start the morning with a flat white and croissant at @dripspecialtycoffee.. Then, found an other coffee shop, @deseocafemx , and tried a ceramic drip, nice balanced coffee.. Later went to @memoriasdeunbarista, spent all the afternoon drinking new coffee and an interesting adjustable v60 + kalita like drip. Mexico day 11, Hidalgo Sunny sunday morning, we went to hidalgo, to get fresh air, and spent the time with family and remind me of Argentina, the route, the hills, etc.. but everything new at the same time... We had lunch on a local restaurant called, "El Refugio" , my first chamarro, and platano frito con crema... a true traditional dinner. Really nice welcoming people. Later, we arrived to Prismas, a touristic place, great view and short trip from the city. So a great escape from the busy city. Mexico day 10, coyoacan We started the day at @monkeybuttmx with some heart latte and enchiladas. Good simple coffee, and great enchiladas Later for lunch, some korean food, I ordered Dolsot bibimbap~ after a week of eating junk food, this was a bliss. Then, we wanted to visit Frida's house, but the line was endless, so I just took a quick shoot from the car.. ahnajajaja frida is in my to do list before leaving. I hope so.. Later, for the first time, I tried bubble tea. Interesting texture and sweet. Then, we walk around the plaza and try the famous cafe de olla, basically coffee with cinnamon. A popular coffee for Mexicans. Mexico day 7, shopping Sorry for not updating yesterday, Started the morning with a flat white and croissant at @memoriasdeunbarista And try a black honey with kalita method... so sweet and deep coffee .. Later a little dessert at @nitrologymex Banana spilt with coconut ~ nice creamy and fun way to serve icecream ~~ Then for the afternoon, a cold brew nitro for energy .. a alcoholic feel taste and sweet from the coffee... Mexico, day 6, coffee tour Morning, with a chemex at Drip, sweet coffee Great barista and place to start the day... Later an espresso at Almanegra, naranja sweet coffee of the day. And interesting cold brew nitro. Then, lunch at Memorias de un Barista, tried the Boj emparedado with a Chuck Berry cold brew. Fresh and light lunch. Walking a little bit, a sweet sour flat white at Quentin ~ a more trendy place. And finish the afternoon with an afogatto at Cardinal. Those coffee shops, with their unique styles, and ideologies ~ they served a good cup of coffee and it can be seen their love for coffee~ Each one respecting each other works, Mexico's baristas community is great. Hope to see more places and learn from them.. Mexico, day 4, Chapultepec Ramen for lunch, great experience, first time ramen. The mochi ice cream, just =3= at Kura. Later a chemex, cafe etrusca, well balanced. Then, tourist mode to park Chapultepec. Great place for a walk with family, and to know a little bit of the art of Mexico... Walked for hours... To finish, we went to grab some burgers, that place worked since 1990. Mexico Day 3, Best taquito Morning breakfast with melon at home, later we went to eat a traditional Mexican breakfast, food good, but the coffee horrible.. we had a bathroom emergency... Later some krispy Kreme doughnuts... great... almost 7 years I eat again a good doughnut. Later the went to El Borrego Viudo, the best taquitos so far ~ great service and price quality is ideal for tourist and locals. On our way back to the car, we found Cafe Etrusca, a speciality coffee shop, the espresso, well balanced blend, cosy place, and also brewing options. Happy to find this place...
