Love Isn't Always Easy - The Writers Club — Grey Thoughts

"Love Isn't Always Easy" is a poem about how difficult it is to watch the ones we love hurt and not be able to help them.

The hardest part

is to let someone you love 

hurt,

without being able to reach out and help.

It happens so often,

making families distant,

separate from one another,

with no window of opportunity

for forgiveness. 

The door is closed

from the inside

out,

leaving one to bleed

without shedding tears.

Trust is erased,

hearts are broken,

love is hidden

beneath lies,

no one listens

to words of wisdom.
