So I have some news...

We are making a feature film to conclude the Heartstopper screen adaptation, based on Heartstopper Volume 6 and the ‘Nick and Charlie’ novella. We are getting to tell the end of the story!!! I’m deeply relieved and so excited about this new creative venture. I’ve written the script and we’re hard at work already. I know you’ll have a lot of questions, and I’ll be able to talk about it more very soon, but for now let’s CELEBRATE! Heartstopper is getting its ending!!!!!! 🍂

i hate that joe locke doesn’t get the credit he deserves on his own show

as much as i love kit i feel like the heartstopper fandom is kit obsessed

on ep 4 (journey) all i’ve seen is “kit and wills scene” or “kits acting” (and i promise i am not hating on them) and people completely forget about joes acting in this ep. cuz as a person who has suffered w an ED, i cried at his acting and felt that they did a great job depicting it and joes acting was phenomenal when it came to that.

and not only ep 4, the whole show he was phenomenal from 1x01 to 4x08. and i think he finally deserves the recognition for the show that hes THE MAIN CHARACTER IN

what were the messages on the card for charlie when he was in the clinic? i couldn’t work them all out. ps- as someone who had ocd and had a bad way of coping your writing really is so incredible, i count myself lucky everyday to have those stories and a friend group like i see on your show, seeing scars on screen healed the ashamed 16yr old in me 🌸

So the situation with the card was that we realised very very shortly before we shot the scene that we didn't have any content for the card, so a crew member from the art department asked me on set if I could very quickly write the messages, which I did in my notes app, and then sent that as a screenshot to him where he (or someone on his team, I can't confirm) wrote them into the card itself. I didn't get a photo of the finished card because it all happened very fast and suddenly we were shooting the scene! I don't think I even saw the card interior until it was literally on set. But I do still have the note on my phone with all of the messages written out. It's a shame they didn't all appear on screen but hey, sometimes not every detail makes it into the final thing! Heartstopper S3 Q&A weekend!

Hello everyone! I don't usually use this blog to answer questions, but I've been wanting to answer some of your questions about season 3 of Heartstopper, and I figure this is probably the best place for it!

It's nearly 2 months since the release of S3 and I'd love to go on a deep dive with you all. I always feel like I don't express myself very well in interviews, so I feel more comfortable getting to express myself in the written word here! You may have questions about characters, relationships, themes, production, music, animation, and more... I shall try my best to share some interesting behind-the-scenes trivia!!

Please keep your questions relevant to season 3 of Heartstopper - I probably won't answer them if they're about anything else!

Deleted scenes: I'm not currently sure whether there will be deleted scene releases.

Ok ik it’s been ages but can you give some thoughts on season 3?? I loved it and would love to hear any specific praise for it or thoughts on it :)

and it's been ages since ive answered this ask oh my. anyway, a lot has happened since i have been on tumblr

FIRST I WENT TO A BILLIE EILISH CONCERT WHAT

okay so actually now about heartstopper lol

i watched it first at 2am on oct 3rd because that's the time it came out (cst) and i actually couldn't sleep. watching it for the first time sort of felt like a blur but i do remember being so soo so sad and happy and i was so happy that the wait was over. so i finished it at 7am, then went to school. it took me that long because i took breaks (you might be able to guess why). it was like i waited for so long and then it was finally there, it was hard.to comprehend. i ended up loving it so much! season 3 was great! i rewatched it after school because i couldn't stop thinking about the whole season, but mostly the feeling of numbness. so yes, i think this was a universal thing but THE FEELING OF BEING NUMB AFTER IT GOES CRAZYYY.

after oct 3rd, ive rewatched it so many times and the MATURITY level, so good. everything is explained perfectly and is the best season! so educational too! here's my thoughts for each ep:

love: sooooo cutee 💕💕, exactly how i pictured everything

home: menorca scene makes me wish it came out earlier because i relate to nick sm, i love tao and elle so much but WHAT WERE WE DOING, loved isaac's character in this episode specifically the most, my 2nd rewatch i bawled my eyes out like a baby watching the phone call between charlie and nick, also the talk between isaac and charlie makes me think a lot

talk: again TAO WHAT ARE WE DOING but im glad everything was okay in the end, sooooso proud for isaac, oh no non no charlie ☹️, COMPLEX PLAYING???

journey: nick crying in taos arms broke me WITH THE EDITS STOP. blue playing made me jump with no feeling idk i was going insane, soosooo educational, i like journaling too ♡

winter: "i hate christmas" "no you dont"

body: CHARLIE IS EATING CAKE I LOVE HIM, im glad the fight was short because if i heard tori screaming in the phone to nick i would've crashed out, charlie has good taste, but so bold love that

together: hanky panky was insane

apart: idk why but i cried during nick and charlies sex scene! great! cute!
