Real! Honestly, all antis ever do is harass people and tell them to off themselves well me and many other proshippers know how to truly advocate for online safety, especially for minors. I'm personally off the opinion that kids should only have phones at the age of 15 at the youngest and only for calling and texting. They should be allowed on social media at 17 at the minimum. When I was on social media at the age of 15, I was so dumb and unsafe. I posted unaltered selfies of myself with the background in full view and I even took a selfie in my swimsuit and posted it! I was even almost groomed by an 18 year old predator. If it wasn't for some nice people looking out for me, I would've been in serious trouble. I'm one of the lucky ones. There's just too much risk for a child to be on social media and it's a luxury. Not a necessity. Humans have been able to form connections with like minded people for centuries without social media. Kids don't needed it so I believe it's best to avoid it until they are 17 at least. 18 I feel is the most comfortable age but if the kid shows signs of great maturity, I'd say 17. MAYBE 16 if they are just THAT mature (but I'd still say parents should monitor just in case)

it's quite odd to me that people assume all proshippers are predatory when all the proshippers i've met care deeply about online safety, advocate against irl abuse, and understand the importance of setting boundaries. i have witnessed more kindness here than any other community i've been in.
