Astra had whispered the words, as if they came from someone’s lips other than her own, and when Evelyn had turned to stare at her, she bit back the ache in her chest. This was what they needed, right? To have the stitches holding them together as two halves snipped, so they could be sewn back as a whole?

“I’m happiest right here, protecting you. I don’t want to go anywhere. I don't want anything to change.” And the conversation was over.

Or, Astra tries to pry her and Evelyn apart to make room for something more, while Evelyn does everything in her power to stay right where she is.

after furina is released from her role as the god of fontaine, lumine sticks around to help her acclimate to being a human. lumine is determined to help the ex-archon see her worth in her new life, even as furina resists her.

okay okay okay, i'm finishing up the next chapter of astralyn tonight, WHICH MEANS i'm finally all set for my six week span i'm giving myself to only focus on princess diaries au.

i am SO excited to get to the next several chapters of pd au, the halfway mark (in two chapters) truly is the tipping point in the fic where we stop setting up everything and start digging into the reveals and connecting everything back together again.

that chapter of mnbr has been plaguing me for months. it’s the only chapter in the fic i had quite literally nothing planned for, besides i needed mention a few things to set up for the rest of the fic.

going to be honest, i think it could have ended up better / smoother, with more of a throughline between all the narratives, but honestly i’m just so relieved to have it off my plate. the next chapters of it should come easy when i return to that world, and now i can focus back on my other projects. i’m counting it as a win and moving on😭

Two years after her mother passed away and she was forced to take on the mantle of the Kiramman Council seat, Cassandra is struggling to find her footing. The job is overwhelming, her daughter is being exactly as stubborn as she would expect her to be, and her husband is stuck working long hours at the hospital. Her husband's laughable idea to help manage the stress is for her to take on a second lover. Her - albeit risky - idea is to foster a new age of Zaun politicians.

Or, a retelling of Arcane where Cassandra finds unlikely and differing partnerships in Grayson and Sevika, and together they achieve the happy timeline (no child sacrifice needed).

i think a realization i’ve had for awhile but tried to ignore is that writing multiple fics at once both motivates and demotivates me to write.

on one hand, i’m very excited about all the ideas and sharing them with everyone, and my output this year working on multiple things has already been like 5x more than my best year focusing on one project. and then on the other hand, when i finish writing a chapter for something, i just want to keep writing that fic, but i feel like i can’t because i have other fics to update, and then i end up writing nothing at all for several days until my motivation switches to the next fic i need to update.

not sure what the perfect compromise is here, but thinking for now i’m going to put out the next chaper of the kiragray ‘might not be real’ and a oneshot i’m working on for hertamei, and then give myself three weeks to write as much as i can / want to for princess diaries, and then decide where to go from there 🫡
