Senator Joe proposes a contract With the American People
CHANGE AMERICA AND THE WAY CONGRESS RUNS OUR COUNTRY RIGHT NOW!
PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE CONTRACT WITH THE AMERICAN PEOPLE AS ENUMERATED IN JOE'S VIDEO ON CONGRESS AT http://www.theaveragejoe.us
President Obama mentioned that were all going to have to sacrifice to make it through this financial crisis. Let's not forget that the average joes and janes in this country have been sacrificing for a long time already and have not been acknowledged. Joe Carraro proposes that if Congress is really representative of the people, then its members will give up its overpaid salaries and benefits and join into the same health care and retirement programs average Americans have to use. The Congress shall have term limits, members and their staffs should make no more than 3 times the median salary (so if they increase the median salary, they get a raise, or they don't), buy into health care programs like regular Americans instead of the luxurious, free (for them. We pay the bill) health care they currently receive, and any pension they get is through Social Security--just like average Americans.

What Some War Veterans Feel During Veterans Day
Senator Joe talks about what some veterans feel on Veteran's day. Some of these men and women chose this path to for love of country and those people aren't always comfortable with the attention given to them during veteran's day. This is different from Memorial Day. Some are proud to serve their country and do not even want to remember the experience. Some prefer to keep themselves busy instead of remembering. Instead of bringing back memories, what can we do to make veterans proud to say they've saved and served the country?

Does Age Matter When It Comes To Soft Skills, Education, And Competency Assessment?
Senator Joe discusses how age is substituted for competency using the cognitive capabilities of Governor Bill Richardson and President Bill Clinton as examples. Do we ask 95 year old Warren Buffet to quit picking great stocks to invest in or stop Carol Burnett from performing or Clint Eastwood from producing. Yet we have others like Senator Feinstein and Justice Ginsberg who died in office and other who cannot function while still serving. The problem is we judge people by a variable that is different for everyone when it should just be based on capabilities. Senator Joe shares his thoughts on age related to soft skills, education, and competency assessment.

Senator Joe's Thoughts About Effects Of The Migrant Surge And Opening The Us Mexico Border
It all started after 9/11 with the faulty decisions made in the establishment of the Department of Homeland Security. The migrant surge and the open borders will lead to the end of our country with the blame squarely on the president with the support of Democrat party members who don't utter a word about border patrol, and the treasonous mainstream media, as the Republican party lacks the courage or competence to change it.
