hey unironically i find your human prowl design extremely attractive how do you draw women so well? is this sorcery???

but also for prowl specifically, i have to say i feel like i owe a big part of my design for her from this pirate au series i doodled from while reading a while back and this line from a section focused on jazz/prowl that immediately took me out

Ingredients

1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed 1 medium onion, chopped 1 Tbsp butter 2 Tbsp garlic confit (both garlic and the oil it was cooked in)  1 Tbsp bacon grease

6 cups chicken broth 1 Tbsp ground C’est Tout trinity mix (I swear by this stuff for getting good flavor without the chopping) 1 Tbsp cajun seasoning

3 cups all-purpose flour 1 Tbsp baking powder 1 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup + 2 Tbsp milk

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

    In a stockpot or Dutch oven, melt butter, garlic confit, and bacon grease. Add the onion and chicken breasts.  Once the onion is translucent and the chicken is browned, add the broth and seasonings.

    Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, partially covered, for about 15 minutes, until the chicken breast is cooked through. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the dumplings.

    In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in the milk just until combined into a shaggy dough.

    Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and roll to about 1/4 inch thickness.

    Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into strips or squares about 1 to 2 inches in size.

    Once the chicken is cooked through, remove it to a cutting board. 

    Add the dough strips to the simmering broth and simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, allowing the dumplings to cook and the broth to thicken to a gravy-like consistency.  If the broth doesn’t thicken enough, you can remove the dumplings and whisk in a little extra flour before returning the dumplings.

    While the dumplings are simmering, shred or chop chicken and return to the pot.

    Add salt and pepper to taste, then serve warm.

Watched a video where someone found a recording of local radio coverage of the Moon landing and it's so weird listening bc

now you only really see the moment of and don't realize it was an hours long protracted event with plenty of dead time to fill. At one point they just start listing off famous ships to waste time when nothing was happening

there were ads? They had to incorporate ad breaks? Not only that but actual, moon landing themed ads that segue in from the coverage. Hearing an ad that starts "the world is watching three men traveling on a mission - but every day, America's truckers travel the roads on a mission - feeding a nation..." in the exact tone of those modern commercials that are like "this SUPER BOWL, let's honor real heroes, our FIRST RESPONDERS"
