use search for a cause or ecosia to support the environment instead of google

find books, movies, games, etc. on the internet archive! for starters, here's a bunch of David Attenborough documentaries and all of the Animorphs books

burn your music onto cds

I think it is insane how people on this site even act like atheism as a whole is or was one coherent movement that developed in the US rather than the reality that people accross the world decided they no longer believed in gods and created various movements around/containing this position.

Atheism doesn't really require you to have any of the extra beliefs they had. You will have extra positions that you then potentially attach to atheism but that is unrelated to atheism itself. You don't need to believe in ancient aliens instead of gods or whatever. You don't really have to "reckon" with anything that one atheist movement in the US did unless you hold the other beliefs they had or were part of that movement.

People love to cite various reactionary beliefs of the NewAtheism movement to other random atheists like they inherited the faults of a movement they weren't even part of. Those people didn't invent the concept of not believing in God.
