most correct take, ive noticed a suspicious pattern of people hating on poc characters for arbitrary reasons but defending their white favs tooth and nail like mhm tell me more abt how tai and mari are evil and shauna and misty are saints

“taissa is aggressive! taissa is a deadbeat! shauna has trauma and that’s why she’s a bad parent, tai has no excuse! 🥺”

y’all are just being blatantly racist atp. taissa is not aggressive unprovoked, she does not “humiliate” shauna in the finale, she is shown to be compassionate and kind, but her trauma changes and affects her deeply. she is willing to abort shauna’s baby using only a BRA WIRE in the middle of nowhere, when everyone else is just standing around SHE runs forward to comfort shauna, when she sees shauna playing with jackie’s corpse, she does what she thinks is best, and when she finds out she ate jackie, she is so disgusted with herself she pukes.

yes, she does have flaws, but so do all of your favorite characters who y’all love to baby and infantilize. shauna is allowed to be aggressive, her trauma is often used as an excuse or an explanation for her behavior, but when it comes to tai, she is cruel and aggressive and mean, she is only her flaws.

some of you really need to step back and think on why you don’t like tai, yet you love other characters who are arguably worse than her.

i want precrash scenes so bad i’m this close to getting the cast together and shooting the scenes myself because what do you MEAN we don’t know how taivan got together. WHAT DO YOU MEAN. The most significant couple in the whole show with a lot of alluded to angst surrounding their precrash relationship and we don’t know??? Tai literally was willing to stay in the cannibal cult wilderness because she didn’t want to go back to her life as a black lesbian in the 90’s and we have NOTHING???? How did they find each other??? How did their romance play out??? How was it hiding something like that from other people??? Literally give me ANYTHING

genuine question, why does everyone count shauna being the butcher as evidence of some great amount of trauma when discussing her actions? Anytime i see an analysis of her character it always comes up as seemingly comparable to other things she experienced like her son and jackie dying and it genuinely confuses me. Like idk if i missed something but she volunteered for the butcher job and didn’t seem to have a problem with it all seasons long, and then everyone talks about her having to butcher javi. And ofc that was horrible, i still have chills, but like… people talk about it like she was so super close with him and had maternal feelings for him and how dare everyone leave her alone to butcher him right after her baby died but like… no? She gave him notebook paper once but i don’t remember much other interaction unless i’m like going insane in which case feel free to correct me. As for the right after her baby died there’s like a big difference between a newborn and a thirteen year old so idk where that connection cane from. And just in general they talk about the butcher job like she was forced into butchering every single person they killed but she butchered one as many people as natalie so that again doesn’t make much sense. It just feels to me like a fandom theory that people have taken as fact and are using as justification for her actions, idk. Precrash nat being like the cool senior that all the underclassmen flock to and thats why she had such a strong bond with team home. Precrash nat being sure to encourage mel as she finds her style and identity bc that’s what she’s all about. Mel being absolutely starstruck by all this from such a gorgeous senior girl

Why do all these characters have nicknames and why can i never clock them. I’ve spent the whole time in the yellowjackets fandom slowly figuring out everyone’s given names from their nicknames and it’s psyching me out. It took me so long to figure out that lottie’s given name was charlotte and every time i remember that van’s given name is vanessa i have a miniature heart attack. Mari’s full name is probably maria. Fuck. Gen’s full name is probably genevieve. Shit. Jackie might be short for jacqueline. Crying rn. The fifth season is gonna come out or smth and tell me misty’s real name is mysterious quigley and i’ll have no choice but to keel over and die
