college tour rant

so yesterday i toured emerson college in boston and if you didn’t know it’s a very media, artsy, performance school. most people go for musical theater, journalism, and film. they also have a really cool program that combines writing, literature, and publishing, and since i wanna be an author this is a good fit for me.

however, the tuition is sooooo high and they give terrible financial aid. also, it’s not a secret that writing and being a published author is not the most stable career. like yes, some people do make a lotttt of money and can support themselves that way, but its not really common unfortunately. so idk if i’ll be able to support myself AND pay student loans unless i get a regular job and just write for fun. ( but im too creative for a 9-5 smh :( )

also, i overheard my mom talking to my uncle this morning about the school and he said my goals are unrealistic and im acting like my dad. ( there’s a lot of lore about him but just know he’s a bum )

so yea im feeling kinda bad about myself rn, spring break is almost over, ap exams are coming up omg 😣
