Wanted to share a quick sketchbook update: feeling more confident with my process these days. Those nagging doubts are vanishing. Used to shy away from linework, thinking I had to tackle tone and color first. But now I'm embracing it✨

Continuing with the sailor moon theme :) With this series of drawings, I wanted to avoid the tedium of having to redo every tiny detail until it was perfect. The hand just keeps reaching out to start all over again! I tried very hard not to start again. Now, there is the famous 'BUT'. 😰

When choosing the colour, I overlooked an important detail. I didn't take into account that the paper in the sketchbook is a completely different colour. My little perfectionist is howling that the colours and rendering on the sketch are much nicer than the final outcome. What do you think about it? Very curious to hear your thoughts ☺️

Hey :) it's been a while! Sailor Moon has a very special place in my heart. At that time, anime was quite rare and it was hard to find any merchandise in the remote area where we lived. Any magazines or puzzles that were found were very precious. This anime started my love of drawing, I remember spending nights creating my own Sailor Scouts. My mother was not pleased when she discovered that I spent those nights drawing instead of sleeping.😂
