Heyooo your “Second Star” fic is amazing so far!! The entire thing feels so in-show, just immaculate plot and dialogue crafting.

It’s so interesting how MK stills feels powerless without his staff (now that we know his powers are beyond it), but it feels very true to his character. He still associates his powers as something *given* to him, not something innate and fundamental to his being.

And we know why this is, just the thought of his nonhumanity disturbs him. Much easier to pretend he’s a lucky noodle boy than the destined resetter of worlds.

I dunno, he seems to think of his staff as this “good power” he can wield, and otherwise he’s in fear of using “bad power”, not processing they both come from the same place.

Anyway I look forward to future chapters!! Excited to see whether you’ll elaborate on the season 5 cliffhanger where MK’s staff sparks with chaos energy >:}

Had an idea about Red Son getting de-aged back to his lil baby version who appears in Journey to the West so I drew a couple of scenes of it... This Red is even more feral than his current self (MK didn’t even think that was possible) Also Tang is there for it because Red Boy definitely mistakes him for Tang Sanzang and kidnaps him later so that’s a whole thing XD

I like the idea that Wukong also uses glamours to hide his many scars and his red eyes, but if you wanna take it one step further you can also say that he doesn’t have mirrors in his house since The Incident with Macaque
