Quick Ramble about the newest Reverse: 1999 event. Slight Spoilers?

I’m only in the first few chapters, but so far, even though I’m not of Asian descent at all, the story reminds me a bit of my own life. I live in California, my father works as a firefighter, and I am a current film student interested in learning about the industry.

Poitier and her colleagues remind me a lot of my father and his work friends. The calls that she mentions going on in the second chapter and quickly having to leave lunch remind me a lot of the stories my dad tells me. There’s been multiple times when I’ve gone to visit my dad at his station for Father’s Day when our visit is cut short by an incoming call. They don’t have the exact same job, but there is a bit of overlap in what they do. Seeing that be somewhat present in one of my favorite games warms my heart slightly.

From what I’ve seen and heard of Noire, she seems like a pretty cool director. I love the detail of the clapper board charm on her jacket and the barn door light on her wheelchair. Her wheelchair even looks a bit like a directors chair, which I think is very cool. 😌 Loggerhead’s design is incredible as well! I love object head characters, and her being an old fashioned camera is so cool to me. I’ve gotten to work with actual film in the past and would love to again. Her design is so cool and unique I love her so much! I jumped for joy seeing Bette when I first started playing the game and I’m so happy to see more film I spurted characters in one of my favorite games.

Can’t wait to see what else happens in the event!/gen <D
