like ok Cas is a not a GUY. he's an incomprehensible eldritch being who is also just a cell in a much larger organism. he is functionally an alien. and then he meets some dude from Kansas and before he's even aware of it his very essence has undergone an irreversible alchemical transformation and he just can't unsee it. he has to translate himself into a different language! by himself! broken robot, dog who thinks he's people, fish who accidentally read a poem. and can't go back underwater!!! how do you love a man when you only know how to love god. how do you deal with the indignities of the flesh when you used to be made of light. but it's worth it.

mystic messenger raised me. i would skip classes and set alarms to wake up at 3am so that i wouldn't miss an important chatroom. i was the most devoted zumin shipper out there. i completed every single route numerous times to get all the possible endings and unlock all the possible DLCs and other bonus content. i would use paysafecard to get hourglasses because i wasn't allowed to have a bank card yet. can you tell how much i love that game.

so i know we have arthur travelling back in time to the beginning of the game, but i haven't seen or at all seen john coming back from dying in rdr to the beginning of rdr2, freshly coming off a wolf attack, stuck in the grizzlies.

i honestly think it'll be so interesting to see, especially since for arthur there's a lot of mystery, because dying arthur doesn't know what happens after the events of rdr2, while john does and he knows the fates of each and every member that ended up betraying them

we have grizzled 38-year-old john who is very much in love with his wife and has a good relationship with his son, who has been suppressing the shit out of his grief going back into the body of 26-year-old john in a tumultuous relationship with abigail, a non-existent relationship with his son, seeing his brother who has been dead for so many years staring down at him, mocking him, and having to return to a gang filled with people he's either killed/had killed or saw die.

the potential is insane, i love this idea so much.

i hate when people characterize a fictional character's nerddom wrong - like when a character is canonically really into sci fi or something and the fandom is like "he's a nerd...so he would be into vocaloid" or when a character is an anime otaku so fanon goes "oh he would definitely be a DND player"

different breeds of nerd. different breeds of nerd, dude. you paint nerds with a wide brush, when nerddom is so vast. you flatten the dorks of the world into nothingness. that makes you a coward to me.

headcanon (ish? we could honestly just as well consider this canon lol): connor has all the knowledge in the world for obvious reasons but absolutely no clue how to apply it in day to day situations that don't consist of investigating crime scenes. he's an equivalent of a book smart nerd at the top of his class with zero survival instincts or actual awareness of how the world around him and the people in it function on a below-the-surface level.

he knows the "procedure" carried out by all artists in order to create, but doesn't really realise you can't be good at art without tons of practice and dedication. he knows recipes for thousands of dishes but wouldn't think of how humans alter them sometimes to taste, because they figure out it tastes better this way. he also does not understand sarcasm at all.

i hate the way the game pushes you to romance north despite her and markus having no romantic chemistry whatsoever, and i absolutely despise the "act natural" scene in capitol park where acting natural according to david cage is non-consensually kissing a woman?? it's so icky, they did my boy markus so wrong in that one.

as much as i don't agree with the majority of north's opinions and i think she's severely underdeveloped as a character who deserved to be more multidimensional, i also don't want to be an asshole to her. i'm ready to do that though if being considerate and empathetic ends in her and markus having a random fling in the middle of an android uprising
