it really does come down to the fact that people (both the audience and the characters in the show) are horrified with and angry at shauna for who she’s had to become because no one else would. when they caught their first animal back in s1, i know everyone breathed a sigh of relief when shauna volunteered to bleed the deer. and then they just assumed, probably without asking her, that the same would be done when it came time to bleed a 14 year old boy. she had the most gruesome and heartbreaking job just thrust upon her and by the time she realized the reality of what was expected of her, everyone had already turned to face the other way.

and now for the first time, she’s taken a second to look around and see how everyone views her and decided to become exactly who it is they’ve seen her as since she skinned that first deer. a ruthless, cruel, cold-blooded killer that doesn’t stop to think before committing an act of violence because, isn’t this who you all needed her to be?

hello gay people in my phone who love house, i haven’t been active in a while and i just wanted to give an update on things. truly sticking to the james wilson apologist name (my mum is dying of cancer)

at the time i didn’t feel comfortable sharing it on here but my mum was diagnosed with colorectal cancer on the 9th of july last year. she was taken in for emergency surgery to have a stoma and also underwent chemotherapy. we found out her cancer is stage 4, making it incurable and metastatic. the cancer had spread to the liver at her time of diagnosis but we were looking at a few years and if the chemotherapy worked there was the possibility of removing the tumours with surgery.

around december she was due for a scan to see if the treatment had worked, it wasn’t curative and strictly pallative but unfortunately it had no affect on her tumours and they continued to grow. obviously this news was extremely upsetting for all of us, she was on a chemotherapy regimen called FOLFIRI which didn’t work and the plan was to switch to FOLFOX. she was given a ct CAP scan which showed the cancer in her liver was progressing and that she now had both lung and peritoneal metastasis

i’ve been dealing with my own health issues which i don’t feel comfortable disclosing, but around mid january my mum was septic and diagnosed with kidney failure due to a congenital defect. luckily she’s okay but the gp dismissed her symptoms as a cold, had we waited any longer my mum most likely wouldn’t be with us. she was given a nephrostomy bag and underwent a CT KUB scan showing chronic right renal atrophy, large intrahepatic disease, multiple pulmonary metastases and disseminated omentum disease. the main cause of her kidney failure was due to a kidney stone believe it or not and she was due to have surgery to remove it but that wouldn’t be possible until may and we don’t have that time. her oncologist advised that she starts a different treatment which should hopefully give her some time. we’re looking at months now due to the fact her cancer has continued to spread and have been referred to palliative care. thankfully my mum is managing her symptoms okay at the moment, the main thing is just fatigue but she’s in no pain or suffering.

as you can imagine this has been a very difficult time, we’ve prioritised spending our time together while we can. the thought of her dying from this when we were told she had cancer didn’t even cross my mind at first. there was always a bit of hope the treatment would work and that would be it but it seems like that’s not the scenario at all. i’m going to try and be more active on here but my main priority is spending time with my mum and giving her the best few months she can have

Genocide flattens every discussion. There are no new conversations to be had about the destruction, death and cruelty. After more than a year, there is nothing left to be said about various media houses, corporations and international bodies of law aiding and abetting all that has been happening in Gaza, either. It is the banality of evil, it is colonialism. However even in this atrociously banal circumstance, I do think what still is a continued point of hope for Gazans and what still pushes so many of them to reach out to the world, is the support people around the globe have shown and still continue to show. Which is why I am here on behalf of the Shehab family ( @fahedshehab-new ) and requesting  you to help them survive through this winter. This won't take much of your time so please read: 

Fahed is currently supporting 13 family members in total- his own family and that of his sister’s.

He has to look after 8 children now, with the youngest being his son Yayha who is barely having anything to eat because the price of baby milk  is exorbitantly high in Gaza. 

The genocide has taken a toll on Fahed’s daughters. Sahar and Dana spent a whole year under the threat of bombs and right now instead of getting to be teenagers, they ask their father if they will survive. They have even said they don't want to live if they lose someone. 

The family right now immediately needs clothes to keep them warm throughout winter. Fahed’s family is from the north and has been displaced several times before they came south. Displacement is dangerous and a silent killer because often essential items are lost and cannot be replaced in time. 

Please consider that the weather has already turned colder around the world and that which is only mildly uncomfortable to us, presents a dire situation for Gazans. The families don't have a shelter and there is no way for tents to adequately protect from cold winds and rain. So right now the immediate need is for warm clothes and it can cost upto $400 per person. With THIRTEEN PEOPLE to take care of Fahed immediately needs to raise at least 5k to buy the required apparels. So please boost and donate.
