Dani's Bad Day

Dani comes home from work exhausted after hours of explaining not only to the board but also to complete strangers that the business her family owns is only trying to recover and rebrand after her father's conviction. She's tired and a little defeated.

Dani takes off her jacket and shoes before sitting on her couch. She hasn't had a chance to relax all day. She leans over on the couch and her eyes shut.

Gigi walks into Dani's condo. "Hey. I just..." Gigi stops talking and walks over to Dani who is fast asleep on the couch. She walks away for a moment to bring Dani a blanket. She gently places it over Dani as she slept.

Gigi was careful not to wake Dani. She ordered dinner and made tea. Dani woke up to the smell of food.

"Hi." Dani greeted Gigi with a soft smile. "Hi." Gigi replied. "You hungry? I ordered Chinese."

"Yes." Dani answered. "Okay." Gigi brought Dani a her plate. "Thank you." Dani said receiving the plate from Gigi. "You weren't here long were you?" Dani asked worried. "Not at all." Gigi lied. "You are the best."

"I know." Gigi shrugged cheekily. Dani leaned in to kiss her. "Okay, so tonight..." Gigi started. "Mhm."

"I was thinking a nice hot bath followed by popcorn and a movie then bed." Gigi said. "That sounds amazing." Dani replied.

Gigi and Dani finished eating and took a hot bubble bath together. Then after Gigi popped the popcorn, the two of them climbed into Dani's bed and watched a movie. Dani laid her head on Gigi's chest. Gigi held Dani. Dani didn't even make it halfway through the movie before she was asleep.

Gigi kissed her head and adjusted the covers. Then she cut the movie off and also went to sleep promising quietly to herself to throw the popcorn out in the morning.

Dani: *Sitting with her feet up on the couch wearing a sweater and hair in a messy bun reading a book*

Gigi: I love you. I just wanted you to know that.

Dani: *Blushes behind book*

Dani, after emotionally shutting down because she either can't or refuses to confront her feelings for fear of being hurt again, dry texts Gigi and stands her up.

Feeling bad about what happened, Dani goes to Gigi's to talk about it.

Dani: Hey.

Gigi is understandably upset.

Dani: I'm sorry.

Gigi: What's going on? Do you not want to do this anymore? Because you should tell me now.

Dani grabs Gigi's hands and they sit down on the couch.

Dani: I'm not going to make up an excuse. I got scared.

Gigi: Of me?

Dani: You make me happy. You make me more than happy and I have never felt like this before about anyone. I don't want to get hurt.

Gigi: I'm not going to hurt you.

Dani: I think I love you.

Gigi: I love you too.

I want an emotional Dani crying in the shower scene. Honestly, I just think she could benefit from a good relaxing cry.

If @showtimenetworks really wanted to make a profit from The L Word, they'd make a 4 part mini series of #GiNi make it 15 to 20 minutes long and air it weekly in June.
