I'm King of the Castle
You haven't had a childhood if the second half of that rhyme doesn't immediately pop into your head when you read that title.
So when I was little, like in elementary school, we used to play this wrestling-type game called King of the Castle. Basically we'd have a designated circle and the point of this game was to wrestle the other player out of this circle so you'd be the King of the Castle.
Now, one time I was hanging out by myself cause my friends were absent, kind of just sitting by the wall waiting for recess to end. Then the aforementioned friend I used to fight with and his buddies came by and challenged me to a game. I was like hell yeah dude I'll waste your ass.
But turns out it was his buddy who wanted to play and I was having second thoughts cause this Diego-lookin kid was a head taller than me and pretty strong. But I said sure and we went to the circle.
I said the rhyme, and he immediately grabbed my wrists and tried to push me out. But then I did this side-stepping thing and he stumbled, so I had the upper hand. But then Diego Kid tried body checking me out, and I was panicking again.
Long story short I somehow pulled a David and managed to wrestle this guy out of the circle. I never shut up about it, and until this day he still hasn't managed to beat me.
He moved to like Asia or something like three months after the game btw.

Punishment?
I don't understand why you get suspended for skipping class. I mean, you wanted to miss school anyway; how is suspension a punishment?

Semantics
When I was a kid I used to get in trouble all the time for fighting. My parents were rarely told about it by the school because usually, it was this one friend of mine I'd get into fights with. He'd call me a name and I'd throw a punch, or vice versa.
The principal called it violence. We called it a misunderstood relationship. It's all semantics.
The end result is still the same: Us two spent a lot of time in the principal's office.

Good choice
I love when my friends who play large instruments like base, sax, or drums complain to me that they can't take them on trips, because then I can shake my flute case in their faces and know in my soul I made a good choice.

Smack art
I was sketching some stuff in ink at 1:00 at night after a bad day, and after a good day I coloured it by smacking my paint-covered hand on top of it a million times. As far as therapy goes, I think it worked the best for me. Today I feel great.

Communism?
So, one time I didn't want to empty the top rack of the dishwasher because that's the stuff my sister usually clears. My father pointed out that when I make sure my siblings and I each do perfectly equal work with perfectly equal rewards, it's communism.
And now I'm like no wonder communism didn't work way back when. Who wants to live in a country with a couple million siblings?

Talent? It’s skill
I see a lot of artists getting annoyed or angry when people say they’re talented, because artists get good through years and years of practice.
Which is true; HOWEVER.
It’s a compliment, just take it and be happy.

Food pics
I too enjoy looking at heavily edited pictures of food I can never have, afford, make, or eat. I love being reminded I didn’t eat yet today and am starving half to death. I very much care about your smoothie made of a fruit with a name longer than Apu’s that you had for breakfast. Believe it or not, I did ask to see.

Future jobs?
I’ve been asked “what are you gonna do with your life?” and “what’re you gonna do when you graduate?” a lot recently. One of my teachers told me to figure out what I like to do and get someone to pay me to do it.
Someone pay me to eat, draw, and play games, please.

Brief Reviews of the Obey Me! Character Songs. I mean good ol Citrine did this so what the hell. I’m not doing the colourful fonts though. You can cry me a river, but I’m lazy, okay?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Arcadia (Lucifer) - I like this one, but it isn’t something I’d regularly listen to. I’ll ditto Citrine and say it’d be good study music. Just something for pleasant background noise.
Are You Ready? (Mammon) - I really like the kind of buzzy (?) beat. I’m getting nightclub vibes, and nostalgic flashbacks to school dances. Also, why isn’t it called “Are Ya Ready?”? I mean, I’ve never seen Mammon say “you” (not saying much because I barely play the game but still).
My Chance! (Leviathan) - It reminds me of the soundtracks from Sega games I played as a kid, like Sonic and Double Dragon (which I guess is the point). Again, decent study music, would not really listen to regularly.
Read My Heart (Satan) - I actually skipped this song halfway through because I don’t like piano music like this, I find it depressing and sappy.
Pomade (Asmodeus) - I dunno. The snapping’s kinda nice, but it’s too quiet and reminds me too much of what they play in clothes stores at the mall. I hate clothes shopping.
Hungry Six-Pack (Beelzebub) - Weird name, but right off the bat it made me think of Cage the Elephant and I LOVE IT. If it was sung in English, it would probably sound even more like them. Kinda grunge, but I love that vibe. I actually added it to my normal playlist.
Dreamscape (Belphegor) - TOCA LIFE. This reminds me of Toca Life, like that lofi they play on the radios? Ugh it’s giving me this really weird feeling. Adoring nostalgic hatred, let’s call it.
Passion (Satan and Lucifer) - I like this one. Citrine mentioned Beach Bar vibes, and I have to agree. It reminds me of the Greatest Showman and that time one of my friends and I got our hands on ukuleles at school.
Telepathy (Beelzebub and Belphegor) - Not much to say for this one. Pleasant, but eh.
Choose Me! (Mammon, Leviathan, and Asmodeus) - I like this one a lot. It’s reminding me of something, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. But I like it. Maybe more school dance vibes?
It’s My Party (Everyone) - 10000/10, very boppy and fun and I can actually play it on my flute so give it another million points. I LOVE the whistles in it. I dunno why, but they’re FANTASTIC.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ratings:
1.  Hungry Six-Pack (Beelzebub)
2.  It’s My Party (Everyone)
3.  Are You Ready? (Mammon)
4.  Choose Me! (Mammon, Leviathan, and Asmodeus)
5.  Passion (Satan and Lucifer)
6. Dreamscape (Belphegor)
7. Arcadia (Lucifer)
8. Telepathy (Beelzebub and Belphegor)
9. My Chance! (Leviathan)
10. Pomade (Asmodeus)
11. Read My Heart (Satan)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Disclaimers, because Citrine put some:
This is my own opinion. You don’t agree, I don’t care.
Leave your own ranking in the notes if you want.
I don’t know Japanese, so I can’t judge the lyrics. I’m judging the other stuff.
Brief Reviews of the Obey Me! Character Songs
Because I apparently had nothing better to do last night than listen to them all. Also includes the unit songs!
Tumblr media
Arcadia - Lucifer:
It's surprisingly like... technopop or something? Probably good study music. So much autotune, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.
Are You Ready? - Mammon:
Something about the backing track made me really on edge, I have mixed feelings about it. And talking while playing music in the background doesn't make a song. And more autotune.
My Chance! - Leviathan:
His is... actually kinda cute. The backing track has this 8-bit retro vibe to it. And he can actually sing!
Read My Heart - Satan:
I love the piano in this one, it's so distinct from the very complex backing tracks of all the other songs. Sorta reminds me of Bird, one of the Black Butler endings.
Pomade - Asmodeus:
Unexpectedly soft given this is Asmodeus' song. Lots of snapping in the backing track.
Hungry Six-Pack - Beelzebub:
My first thought when hearing it was "this is the kind of song a garage band would play at some dive of a bar at 11:00pm." They're a talented garage band at least.
Dreamscape - Belphegor
Believe it or not, the Avatar of Sloth has a very quiet and slow song compared to some of the others. I like the backing track on this one too, and there's more snapping!
Tumblr media
Passion - Lucifer & Satan:
It gives off... beach bar vibes? The closest thing I can think of is Señorita by Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes.
Telepathy - Beelzebub & Belphegor:
They have a flat-out conversation near the end? But pretty good overall. Similar to Dreamscape vibe-wise.
Choose Me - Mammon, Leviathan, & Asmodeus:
Chaos incarnate, but with these three, what else did you expect? A rather repetitive chorus, and another interesting backing track. Not terrible, but not my favourite.
Tumblr media
If I had to rank them, it'd probably be:
1. Read My Heart
2. Pomade
3. My Chance!
4. Passion
5. Dreamscape
6. Arcadia
7. Telepathy
8. Choose Me
9. Hungry Six-Pack
10. Are You Ready?
Tumblr media
Disclaimers:
- This is all my own opinion, if you don't agree, then we're clearly just different people.
-Leave your own ranking in the notes if you'd like!
- I don't know Japanese, so my opinion is based entirely on the backing track and singing, not the lyrics.
-The ranking is subject to change, I'm literally humming Are You Ready? as I post this.

Random Story Generator #2
More from https://href.li/?https://www.plot-generator.org.uk/story/
Mike Doop had always loved cosy Plymouth with its chilly, curly cliffs. It was a place where he felt sparkly.
He was an admirable, forgetful, beer drinker with chubby elbows and spiky feet. His friends saw him as a precious, panicky patient. Once, he had even made a cup of tea for a terrible disabled person. That's the sort of man he was.
Mike walked over to the window and reflected on his sunny surroundings. The sun shone like chatting dogs.
Then he saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Chantal Johnson. Chantal was a hopeful hero with blonde elbows and brown feet.
Mike gulped. He was not prepared for Chantal.
As Mike stepped outside and Chantal came closer, he could see the black glint in her eye.
Chantal gazed with the affection of 1131 ruthless loopy lizards. She said, in hushed tones, "I love you and I want revenge."
Mike looked back, even more calm and still fingering the minuscule teapot. "Chantal, I've got a new job," he replied.
They looked at each other with calm feelings, like two funkelplopping, forgotten foxes bouncing at a very violent Christening, which had piano music playing in the background and two grateful uncles running to the beat.
Mike studied Chantal's blonde elbows and brown feet. Eventually, he took a deep breath. "I'm sorry," began Mike in apologetic tones, "but I don't feel the same way, and I never will. I just don't love you Chantal."
Chantal looked lonely, her emotions raw like a tart, thundering torch.
Mike could actually hear Chantal's emotions shatter into 1708 pieces. Then the hopeful hero hurried away into the distance.
Not even a drink of beer would calm Mike's nerves tonight.

Random Story Generator #1
I threw a bunch of random crap into https://www.plot-generator.org.uk/story/
Crosse De Chabanet was thinking about Firenze Pascale again. Firenze was a strong charismatic with Rough Hair and Tall Arms.
Crosse walked over to the window and reflected on his unclean surroundings. He had always loved chaotic Vanerein with its ripe, roasted rambling apartments. It was a place that encouraged his tendency to feel angry.
Then he saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the a strong figure of Firenze Pascale.
Crosse gulped. He glanced at his own reflection. He was a tough, cold, Irish coffee drinker with Slender Hair and Short Arms. His friends saw him as a steep, stagnant survivor. Once, he had even helped a pongy Duke recover from a flying accident.
But not even a tough person who had once helped a pongy Duke recover from a flying accident, was prepared for what Firenze had in store today.
The Cloudy teased like running Dog, making Crosse sorrowful. Crosse grabbed a grimy Flute that had been strewn nearby; he massaged it with his fingers.
As Crosse stepped outside and Firenze came closer, he could see the shiny glint in his eye.
Firenze gazed with the affection of 9646 scared hushed horses. He said, in hushed tones, "I love you and I want affection."
Crosse looked back, even more sorrowful and still fingering the grimy flute. "Firenze, I love you," he replied.
They looked at each other with bright feelings, like two round, rough Rat fighting at a very talented street fight, which had folk music playing in the background and two poor uncles playing to the beat.
Suddenly, Firenze lunged forward and tried to punch Crosse in the face. Quickly, Crosse grabbed the grimy Flute and brought it down on Firenze's skull.
Firenze's Rough Hair trembled and his Tall Arms wobbled. He looked cheery, his emotions raw like a steamed, spluttering saxophone.
Then he let out an agonising groan and collapsed onto the ground. Moments later Firenze Pascale was dead.
Crosse De Chabanet went back inside and made himself a nice drink of Irish coffee.
The End
