Post-BotW Hateno Bed Fluff, my favorite topic 🤭

This takes place after Zelda asks Link to share the ONLY BED in his house 🤭🤌She obviously has recurring nightmares about Calamity Ganon and her century-long battle. Zelda suffers from restless sleep. But being close to Link really comforts her...she feels safe when she's with him. Sometimes, Zelda instinctively snuggles up to him while she sleeps...Link lets her even if, ultimately, he doesn't sleep very well either 😅🥺 Poor Link's heart rate is in the roof.. He is SO in love with her and this whole bed situation is GHFDJNIGK 🤭

Based on many of your recent posts and a lot of your art I want to commend you on your fantastic taste in movies. I'm a huge sucker for movie references, so watching you combining movies with Zelink art is literally my dream come true because it's 99% of my head-canon. I bet you could hold a conversation using only movie quotes. :) Oh wait, I'm supposed to ask a question: What's your favorite John Carpenter movie?

Oh snap, a fellow cinephile!! 🤜💥🤛 Well thank you for noticing! I "might" be a movie addict who "maybe" went traditional animation school 😉 I am extremely influenced and inspired by cinema of all genre, some shots and scenes are just burned in my brain. It's also one of the reasons most of my drawings are in 16:9 ratio. I often try to catch the emotions and feels of movie scenes...Example: Link on his knees ugly crying while the light dragon flies over him? I thought of the energy and vibe of crying Leo in the desert from Romeo+Juliet 1996 while drawing it (I have a lot of personal attachment to this particular film, but that's another topic) Your comment inspires me to do other direct redraws. I had so much fun with Blade Runner 2049 last week... OK!!! So, fav John Carpenter movie you ask, hmmm? Funny you assumed I was a Carpenter fan.... Are you familiar with this little movie, "Big Trouble in Little China?" 😉

I like to think there are differents Zora ethnicities, which would explain why Zora's from OoT, BotW and ALttP looks so different from one another. The Zora's from ALttP are agressive and the others are peaceful which suggest they have very different cultures. I'm also wondering if maybe Lady Yona is a descendant from ALttP's Zoras, or maybe she is a metis? IDK...im just brain rotting over pixel art from 30 years ago lol👇

Hey there! I’m a longtime Zelda fan, especially BOTW/TOTK, and in my time in the fandom, I’ve never been overly fond of the idea of ZeLink, that is to say, until I saw your gorgeous art and read your headcanons, they are such a wholesome couple and so supporting of each other and ahhh! I ship ZeLink because of you! im always hugely into ship art and seeing what others come up with, but so far you are on top of my list of fav Zelda ship artists, I get excited and tingly whenever I see that you posted 😂🫶

Along with me gushing about your 👌👌👌 art, I wanted to ask because I love your style; how do you go about choosing the colors for the shadowing on the characters, I noticed yours always comes out so perfectly contrasting and vivid! and I noticed that you use different colored line-art depending on the base colors of the subjects, (and I’ve seen a lot of other artists do it too) I have wanted to try it out for awhile, but I haven’t figured out how to pick the right line art colors, and was hoping for some tips if you’re willing 💜💜💜💜💜 again, love your art

YAS THEY ARE WHOLESOME!!! I love BotW Zelink because of it's stark contrast with my other fav Zelink, OoT! oh no...i must not think of OoT, i will crawl under my desk again and cry.

So, yeah, I got a few tricks up my sleeve cuz i am actually a Senior 2D Artist in the game industry irl 🤭 I will gladly share with you (and everyone who is reading this reply because you are not to first to ask :) a couple of art tricks I wish I knew when I was a junior artist. I sincerely believe in knowledge sharing and no way i'm gonna be a gate keeper. Gate keeping artists are not cool imo. English is not my first language, and explaining art with words is tedious... i'm gonna ask Drake and visual references to help me out!

I have a confession to make dear friend! I hadn't read fanfictions in several years but beating Totk made me go FERAL for Zelda material and explore what's been written since BotW came out.... oh boy the rabbit hole is deep!

There is a lot of good stuff out there but I have read so many fanfics in a short time that the whole thing is a blurry mess in my brain. BUT! There is one in particular that really stood out and left a lasting impression on me: Displaced written by socksock https://archiveofourown.org/works/21128084/chapters/50279321 It was originally written in 2018, before the release of TotK so there are some small and harmless inconsistencies that can easily be ignored because, duh, it was written BEFORE totk. I particularly liked this fanfic because it has all the qualities I'm looking for!! Also several key moments and general ideas in that story are extremely close to my own headcanon to the point it almost scared me. The story focuses on Zelda trying to find her place in post-calamity Hyrule. The characters are very well written and credible, Link's personality is player behavior accurate (MORE OF THAT PLEASE!!!!!!!!) and obsessed with completing his quests backlog and I thought it was amazing. Damn i love a player accurate Link!!

It's a wholesome slow burn romance, lots of humor, it's sexy, does not take itself too seriously but can be very emotional at times. Also, I was amazed by one scene in particular....I don't want to spoil anything for you, but the Big Damn Kiss moment is *CHEF KISS*: the setting, the tone and the resolution HSGDKJS, I would've slow clapped if i could've (I was holding my phone lol)

Reading that scene, I thought to myself : F*** YES! This person gets it hahaha !!

My own Zelink Big Damn First Kiss moment shares a lot of similarities with that fic so, Im going to say it now: when 'll post the Zelink first kiss i'm currently crafting, be sure to know that Socksock and their fic Displaced did something in the same general vibe FIRST! A page from my post-Botw Zelink comic. Each chapter covers key moments of my headcanon. I don't think my comic is super revolutionary in terms of story because there is so much fan content out there and im super classic and vanilla... but i dont care. I'm having fun creating my own take on what happened. This project is a time consuming blackhole and I draw it all out of order because I have no discipline whatsoever 😭 😂 It was originally just random black and white pages here and there with no cohesions, like my stand alone illustrations... but the illustrations became pages. The project is basically me fan-servicing my own self. 😂😂

Then it exploded, i've been adding color, cleaning up my panels, pimping the backgrounds.

I still unsure on which platform i will make it available to read. The friends who got my out of my shipping closet are screaming to me to print a fanzine, but i'm lazy hahaha. Might do a patreon eventually, idk.

Oh yeah, this is a panel from the chapter where Zelda and Link go back to Korok forest to put the Master Sword back in it's pedestal... I'm old, i played the old games. One of my BotW nitpics was that it didnt include the classic moment where the sword rests once again, like in ALttP and OoT. I like traditions okay!!!! Cheers!!!

I humbly thank you Stellarine!! I didn't wanna share theses doodles on my regular art account mainly because people from my personal and professional circles following me... My Zelink fixation is really personal, dare i say "intimate. I wasn't comfortable exposing how obsessed and sappy I am about these two fictional dorks, their relationship, chemistry and all their incarnations. I have to admit, having this anonymous account is really therapeutic and liberating. Not gonna lie, i feel overwhelmed by the community's positive response! I'm addicted to your funny hashtags lol :) While I continue posting old doodles for my secret folder (that I revamp a bit now before sharing), I started drawing new Zelink content... I can't stop cuz the community's energy is just pouring gas on my drawing fire!

Post-Totk Link is still plagued with nightmares of the Light Dragon, Gloom Hands, Phantom Ganon...Puppet Zelda...loneliness.

He wakes up at night screaming, hyperventilating, sobbing. But Zelda is there and she comforts him with love, kindness and patience! Like Link did for her Post-Botw.

It's gonna take time...but Link is gonna be fine ♥ Zelda too.

They are all gonna be fine and live happily ever after!!!

And Hateno domestic fluff resumes.
