I have news:

Shelter and Aphidclan will both be going on hiatus once my backlog runs out! Well, okay, my backlog for Shelter just barely ran out lol. Yesterday’s update was the last update I had left in my queue for Shelter, but Aphidclan’s queue runs until July 18th. Shelters hiatus starts now, the second this is posted, but Aphidclan’s hiatus will begin on July 18th.

This is at least partially thanks to artfight lmao. Normally I’d spend this month building up my backlog for the latter half of July and into August, but all my time for drawing will be spent on artfight instead, so I don’t have the time to make pages until Artfight ends. But, for the most part, it’s because in June my mental health took a dip and I haven’t really bounced back since. That directly impacts my emotional energy to create comics, and thus keep up with a running backlog. I’ll be needing some time to take care of my mental health and prioritize that first above my work, and once I’m mentally ready to return to the grind I’ll pick my comics back up again. I’ll still be active for artfight since I love to draw for all my friends and mutuals and that does a lot for my dopamine, but otherwise art is gonna be sporadic and unpredictable from me for a while. Plus, it takes time to build up a backlog of a bunch of updates before I can then start posting again.
