Thorin, Bilbo, Fili, Kili

If There Were Water Bilbo Baggins might be in over his head. He’s purchased an old stone house atop a hill overlooking a city he doesn’t know. But it’s early April, the rainy season, and the roof leaks, and there's something strange about Bywater House that he can't quite figure out.

Thorin Oakenshield is in his fourth month of trying to reconcile his own grief with his failures at anything remotely resembling a competent single parent, living out of a shoebox flat with Fíli (seven, sullen, and stubborn as hell) and Kíli (five, resilient but cracking), working crap jobs and hating everything including himself.

Under the cover of rainy afternoons and sleepless nights, roof repairs and building restoration, Bilbo and Thorin try to figure out how one navigates isolation, and how one breaks out of it.

This was a great ghost story in the style of "House of Leaves" and does a wonderful job of building up the relationships and history among the characters while still holding the suspense of the mystery. I stayed up all night reading this, fearing yet relishing what would happen next, it's that compelling.

The Greedyhearts Eames is a high-end thief. Arthur is a private investigator hired to catch him. Ridiculous events ensue; something like love happens somewhere along the way.

I LOVE tornadobelt, and I can read this story over and over again, and it still makes me laugh. The supporting cast is amazing, the premise is light and simple yet utterly satisfying.

Ya'aburnee series Ya’aburnee (Arabic): literally meaning ‘you bury me’, this is the hope that a person or loved one will outlive you as to spare yourself the pain of living life beyond that person.

Follows the season 2 Randall Tier arc and Will and Hannibal's ensuing collaboration as murder husbands. Warning: this series stays true to season 2 finale and Red Dragon canon, but the divergent stories before these turning points assuage all the hurt sustained from season 2.

Consenting to Dream Hannibal gives Will pretty things.

An ostensibly simple "sugar daddy" plot worked with extraordinary finesse. The fic's concepts of empowerment and fulfillment (and how to negotiate them) are fantastic.
