Calex Couple’s HC’s

Casey Novak x Alex Cabot

Gives nose/forehead kisses Casey, without a doubt. She purposely does it when Alex is frustrated, her brow furrowed and annoyed, Casey likes to kiss away the frustration, it helps bring Alex back to earth, remind her to think straight.

Gets jealous the most Alex. Casey gets hit on a lot, I mean, just look at her. Alex knows she’ll never do anything, but it annoys her and she’s very quick to remind Casey who she belongs to….and why…

Picks the other up from the bar when they’re too drunk

Alex. It’s usually after a department baseball game where Casey’s been out in the sun all afternoon and they go out for beers after, Alex is called soon after to come get her girl before she passes out at the table.

Takes care of on sick days

Casey. Alex usually refuses to get sick, or admit it, she’ll power through (or at least try to) but Casey’s the one who insists she stays home, wraps her up in blankets and feeds her small spoonfuls of chicken noodle soup.

Drags the other person into the water on a beach day

Casey, without a doubt, she’s out there swimming splashing and surfing. Alex refuses to get her hair wet and just wants to lie under the umbrella and enjoy the warmth but Casey won’t have any of that (also LBR, Casey ends up with a horrific sunburn that Alex will gently rub aloe Vera on, but chastises her on her lack of sunscreen use, insisting that she wears it from now on, esp on her face)

Gives unprompted massages

Alex. Though it’s secretly her way of inspiring Casey to return the favour cause her neck is also a damn mess.

Who drives? Who rides shotgun?

Casey. In my brain Alex doesn’t drive (canologically we never see her behind the wheel I’m 99% sure and we do see Casey once driving lol). Alex grew up in the city (maybe not Upper East Side, but she may as well have) there was always a car service, and she’s not against taking the subway. Thus, she either never bothered to get her license, or simply doesn’t like driving, leaving Casey to take the wheel on the longer road trips.

Brings the other lunch at work

Neither of them, but they do pop up into each other’s offices with the idea of getting out for lunch, taking a break from the paperwork and trial prep.

Has the better parental relationship

Casey. I think she’s got a better family history in general, whereas Alex’s parents kinda always see her as a child? Like, they obvi still love her, respect her and they all get along, but they’re…distant? Cold? This made better sense in my head LOL.

Tries to start roleplaying in the bedroom

Casey. The girls both switch, though Alex is normally the dom/top/whatever you want to call it. But Casey’s the one who wants to bring in more playful stuff for sure.

Embarrassingly drunk dancer

Okay my mind went STRAIGHT to Diane’s ep of 30 Rock so it’s definitely Casey. Also Alex is graceful as fuck

Still cries watching titanic

Alex. It’s one of her favourite movies, Casey only suffers through it for Alex’s enjoyment, she’s not the romantic movie type.

Firmly believes in couples costumes

Casey. Alex isn’t one for costumes, or for halloween at all, but she’ll do it as long as Casey looks adorable (spoiler alert…she always does…)

Breaks the expensive gift rule during Christmas

Alex. It annoys Casey to all hell, esp the first couple of years, but she learns to accept it eventually, it’s one of the ways Alex can show how much she loves her, so Casey lets it slide.

Makes the other eat breakfast

Casey. Alex isn’t much of an eater in the morning, so Casey usually makes her an extra smoothie, and stashes a granola bar into her bag for when she hits mid morning and realizes she’s fucking starving.

Remembers anniversary

Both of them. They alternate between planning them, and the first couple of years they surprise each other by planning something the other enjoys more. Alex ends up taking Casey out for a baseball game with box seats and unlimited popcorn and beer. Casey surprises Alex with a night out on Broadway followed by drinks at a rooftop lounge.

Brings up having kids

Alex. She doesn’t really want them, it’s not a deal breaker per-say, but she’d rather commit to work and be able to travel/pursue things without having the tie down of having a child. I might be a decade late but damn, svu s13 was something else,especially the last episode and opening for s14.

Amaro became Stabler (no offense, and dont hate them) real fast. The whole setting up plot was amazing, i dont know how i feel about how the episode ended but it was alright. Kinda hard to believe that with all thats happened to the squad my fave ADAs (Yes, you Novak and Cabot 🥲) were no shows. It made me think of whats gonna be different if they were there. Especially my fiery red headed attorney 🥲

Looking forward to s14. Still missing Casey of course.
