Shooter Saturday: Woo Woo

The hilariously-named "Woo Woo" is usually served as a cocktail, not a shooter. But it still counts! The Woo Woo has become a staple in North American bars and you can probably get it without running into too many problems. Ask your bartender for it tonight!

What you need:

- 2 oz. of Vodka

- 1/2 cup of Cranberry Juice

- 1 Tablespoon of Peach Schnapps

Preparation:

1) Add all of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker

2) Add ice

3) Shake well

4) Strain into a cocktail glass and serve

Shooter Saturday: Pirate's Treasure

Now this is an interesting shooter. The trick is to make the shot glass look like a treasure chest buried underneath a pile of dirt. This can be done by floating the rum on the cinnamon schnapps. A fun shooter, but be aware: it can be on the strong side!

What you need:

- 3/4 oz. of Goldschlager Cinnamon Schnapps

- 3/4 oz. of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum

Preparation:

1) Pour the Goldschlager into a shot glass

2) Float the Captain Morgan on top of the Goldschlager by pouring it slowly over the shot glass with the back of a bar spoon.

Lorde - 400 Lux

Last week saw the release of Lorde's first studio album, "Pure Heroine". I personally love the album and the tracks included like "Glory and Gore" and "Tennis Court". However, my absolute favourite from the album has to be "400 Lux". Listen and check out the whole album! It's short, sweet, and stylistic.
