Oh honey, that was a fight I've been brought in (usually without asking, so thank you for actually reaching out first before naming me as an example lmao) several times in my many years in this hot mess of a community, and it's not one that anyone ever "wins". It's the same old recycled drama that gets brought up like once a year, gets both sides heated and lukewarm call out posts flying, then sizzles away with 0 resolution.

There's really only so many times you can have the same argument over and over before you just have to accept no one is gonna budge their opinion and just move on. Everyone needs the good reminder now and then that the block button is free and asks can be deleted without giving the other person the satisfaction of a response.

My advice? Just keep doin' you. Why do you think I haven't even looked at the g/t tag in over two years? I just post what I like when I want and go on my merry little way.

And because I know I'm probably going to get asinine asks if I don't clarify what I am and am not agreeing with:

Yes, I agree that you should not be using other people's OCs without permission, especially if its putting those OCs in any sort of degrading position. No, I do not think fearplay/petplay = racism. No, that is not to say that racism still cannot be prevalent in the g/t community, but these tropes are not inherently that. Yes, content creators (both artists AND writers) are not your workhorses and are being kind enough to share their works out of love, if you don't like what their making or the speed at which they're going, then make it your damn self. Yes, NSFW does not only mean sexual content, it also applies to violence and gore, and all work content should be tagged appropriately regardless if it's smut or whump. No, making something "fucked up" does not mean you are an evil and disgusting monster if you don't include a seven page essay about why the things happening are actually Not Okay in real life.

If that's how you personally imagine him, then go right ahead!! I hadn't really given his human-equivalent ethnicity/nationality much thought...but he is blonde, so I dunno if that would really go for a fully Arab vibe--
