Shyan week 2k20 Day 7 Prompts: fight Type: prompt/headcanons (up for grabs!)

Because he is Shane, he doesn’t like conflict and prefers to “give in” because he believes no argument is good enough to get mad to someone he loves.

By consequence, he and Ryan never really fight.

At first, Ryan is ok with this until it starts to frustrate him because it feels like Shane dismisses things that are important. If they can argue about things they disagree, eventually one of them will explode.

Sometimes, Ryan’s answers when he is frustrated sound aggressive, and the way Shane ignores it feels like normalizing it and it makes things worse.

Eventually, it explodes on them.

In an ironic turn of events, it’s Shane the one that gets angry. And it’s over something petty, at the end of it, they can’t even remember what was it.

What they do remember is that Ryan brought back every single time he had to shut up because Shane wouldn’t have the conversation to avoid conflict.

After an intense match, they stare at each other, Shane leaves the apartment for a few hours.

He never yells even when angry, Ryan doesn’t yell either but talks firmly and with big words, so it sometimes sound like he is yelling.

Once they cool down and Shane gets back, the first to talk is Ryan. He apologizes mostly for not telling Shane earlier that they do need to talk stuff sometimes.

Conflict is not necessary a fight, and sometimes it’s better to face it or it will become a time bomb. Shane apologizes too.

After, thye try to never came down to this again. Shane still prefers to avoid conflict, but also listens if Ryan needs to talk about something, while Ryan controls impulsiveness better and understands that not everything needs to be an argument.

This was sent to me waaay back in the beginning of March, and now you’re getting a long-ish drabble in time for Shyan week day 6, prompt domesticity :D

To think this was even before 3AM anon came around and people started sending me so many prompts in my mail, ah wild.

It’s not that Ryan wants Shane to be sick, but it really does not hurt to have an excuse to take care of the big guy once in a while. 

Shane grunts from beside him, grimacing when he tries to sit up from where he lay on the couch.   

“Woah there.” Ryan reaches out to pull him up, “You want some more tea?“ 

“Yeah, that’d be great.” Shane’s voice is scratchy. He rubs a hand down his face, tucking his legs close under the fleece blanket, making an appreciative noise in his throat when Ryan hands him the steaming mug. 

“Ugh, remind me not to get sick again.”

Shyan week 2k20 Day 6 Prompts: domesticity Type: fic idea/headcanon (up for grabs!)

During the infamous trip for the Bigfoot episode, Shane realized he had lost all kind of awkwardness around Ryan.

He notices they would change in front of the other, share the bathroom without problem, stand at each other’s side while using the sink and mirror.

It makes him start noticing other little things like the way they settle into comfortable silence when together and the fact that Ryan knows all his orders in all their common take outs and restaurants in general.

One day, he catches himself making Ryan’s coffee and he knows exactly how he likes it, even the cup he likes and how hot he likes it.

It makes him wonder when they have become this domestic? And if it means anything else? The thought distracts him enough to worry Ryan, who thinks he may have done something to make him uncomfortable.

When Ryan tries to cold down things and stops doing all these little things, Shane freaks out

He is complaining about it to the crew when Devon tells him he should just tell Ryan he loves him and get back together.

“Get back together?” “Yeah?” “We were never together”. The fact that everyone seems surprised by Shane not even having a crush on Ryan makes him realize he actually does.

With this new information, all those little moments of domesticity makes sense and Shane realizes he misses that a lot.

Eventually, he talks to Ryan and they get together, getting more domestic every day.

They are living together in no time, and the domestic bliss is wonderful.

Plus points: lazy lovemaking on sunday morning.

Shyan Week 2020 day 6: if there’s a happy ending

so uhh ive been making these edits since 2017 but i never upload them here i usually just upload them on my instagram (chaeryflirt) so here’s this!! sorry for the shitty quality, idk what happened ugh

this fits the prompt of “family” more i feel like but i feel like if anybody got a happy ending in 2019, it was shane and ryan. they left the shitty company that is b*zzfeed, started their own company together with their good pal steven lim, and now they get to work together every day, and they haven’t gotten tired of it. this is weird and fucking cheesy but i didn’t believe in soulmates until i started watching unsolved and following these boys’ lives. they fit together like two goddamned puzzle pieces, they’re perfectly meant for each other. i don’t really believe in the universe “knowing” stuff, nor do i believe in a god, but i do believe in true love and soulmates, and whether it’s platonic or romantic i think the connection that shane and ryan have is special and rare. 

that was way too much talking for a minute-long edit (and i hope it qualifies btw, it said no videos under 1min but its just at 1min so i hope it still counts lol) but i got really emotional and i just. yes. anyways stan shane and ryan
