The recent revival of pop-punk is built entirely on the shoulders of poc and queer ppl who have fought tirelessly to gain any form of fame but every article about it just talks about pop artists who occasionally have songs with an electric guitar or a Travis Barker feature and act as if they're the ones who did all the work. This isn't even a critique on those artists or their music it's just incredibly frustrating to see them being given all the credit for something they're simply jumping onto now it's more popular instead of the people who built those foundations for them.
