I've posted about this bandcamp page before and thought it more than deserved yet more attention. My personal interest here lies with the Cosmic Analogue Ensemble (CAE) Abstract Cinematic soundwaves, an intriguing collection of samples and recorded live instruments - "Analogue for the 21st Century." It was founded by Charif Megarbane of the band Heroes & Villains, up until now I thought it was a 4 or 5 piece collective that simply jammed out together (listen to Trans-Mara-Express and you'll see why) But no...It's one very talented man, who's releases are the result of years spent collecting sounds and improvised recordings that he's played around the world on various analogue equipment. The recordings are fuzzy and gritty but have soul and a genuine rawness that you don't hear much of anymore (the genuine part, it's replicated a lot) You might not think it's all that original when you first hear it but involve yourself, be immersed and then you'll learn how special and diverse the music is.  Enjoy!

A free DL of VHS.Chords from Submerse taken from "Slow Waves" (Project:Mooncircle) Courtesy of Do Androids Dance. I reviewed Slow Waves a few weeks ago, if you've heard the other tracks floating around online (when realistically you should own the vinyl by now anyway) Then you'll notice this track is perfect example of what I'd previously commented about Slow Waves being a very well rounded release, encapsulating the progression and maturity that Submerse has come to realise in this album, ironically through nostalgia and times past.
Lovely track,

I've had my expectations confirmed that Chaos Kid and my man Go Yama would soon cross paths, so here it is "Much Space." Again coming via Rootnote and I wouldn't be at all surprised if this was a taste of more to come, it's simply a collaboration that works very well the two producers have equally styles that work in conformity but individually are very different with Chaos Kid's beats being heavily 8-bit focused while Go Yama seems to duck in and out of a variety of styles. Look forward to more. https://soundcloud.com/rootnotecollective/chaos-kid-x-go-yama-much-space#t=0:00

Catch my good pal V E I L S and the rest of the Fly High Söciety alongside the man Tim Parker (You'll Soon Know) On NTS tomorrow from 3-5pm, it's gonna be a huge one! Started in 2010 by Bolts and SertOne a relatively new collective of producers with big hitters Igloo Ghost, Tehbis and Almighty Sion (SertOne & Bolts) and, possibly, in a more wide spread sense, lesser known fresh talent like my dude V E I L S (who I've been eagerly awaiting a release from for time) HLMNSRA, Edleigh, Monto, Mump and Alice Pardis (photographer/film)  They all follow a similar focus for their music, largely being synth driven. occasionally decorated with 8-bit arpeggios, clunky drums and re-verbed claps and in a few cases some wonky/deep bass, but theres more to it than the run of the mill beats (of which there are too many) with each bringing their own very unique and individual presence. The other thing that makes this seemingly new super group even more impressive is the fact they're all extremely young and already emerging to be heavy contenders in the european beat scene. Keep your eyes on this lot theres gonna be some real big stuff on the horizon! Be sure to check out all their work, a really fucking solid team there! http://www.flyhighsociety.com/ http://flyhighsociety.tumblr.com/ http://ntslive.co.uk/
BIG UP!

Another dope compilation courtesy of Rootnote with usual contributors such as Dibiase, Chaos Kid and Maloon the Boom, I've put this track by my dude Scooter | Go Yama, simply because I think it stands out from the rest, not to disrespect any of the producers, for me, this beat just goes the extra mile. I had a track he sent me a few years back pop up on a playlist the other day and had the urge to listen to some of his beats and as I got home this appeared, as if by fate, on my soundcloud stream. Super dope, check the whole release!

Ackryte is back with something a little different here, it's possible I might've slept on something but this is the first beat I've heard in a while. It follows the similar structure and drum patterns that make his beats so crisp but in A Felicidade the style and choice of sample differs from the usual jazz snippets. Nice!

A couple of my mates have contributed to this release from Hobo Truffles, a tribute to one of the BBC's greatest musicians and composers of electronic music and musique concrète - Delia Derbyshire (R.I.P). Probably most famous for the original Dr. Who Theme. It's fucking dope get to know! http://hobotruffles.bandcamp.com/album/ode-to-delia

My dude Kevin Youndso | Melodiesinfonie has just dropped the outtakes from his previous vinyl release "Friede Freude" courtesy of Boyoom Connective.
It's 22 tracks of him doing what he does best providing you with lazy jazz samples, ambient chords, lovely field recordings all beautifully arranged to just vibe to.
It also features some old tracks such as one of my favourites "Slow It Down" resurfacing. Big ups! This is so dope!

It's only been a few months but DTMD are back with a dope new release, unfortunately there's no Kev Brown production on this one but fear not the production is still dope. Admittedly it's not as great as I hoped but it's a good release non the less and with a name your price option you can make your own decisions.

Non beats related however well worth a mention. I bought this soundtrack on vinyl the other day (unfortunately not the original which is super rare) And it's just fucking nuts how good it is! He's like a funkier Johnny Pate with Jazz flute, Shaft chords and Billy Cobham-esque drum fills! So dope!
