“Clairvoyance only going so far these days?” The words slip out with a certain ease, a teasing smile ( a trademark of Adrienne’s at this point ) comes easier. “I heard rumors of a witch back from the dead, I wanted to see it for myself” One resurrected dark witch to another, “And ask, how’d you manage that?” 

“It goes very far.” There’s a ghost of a smile on Ariane’s lips. She’s not offended in the slightest. She was sheltered but she can handle a little teasing. “The rumours are very true.” She steps closer, hands by her side. “I can’t be revealing all of my secrets now, can I?” Truthfully, she has no idea how she managed it. But she’s back... and there are no strings holding her down.

      He doesn’t react instantly, but he does pause from where he’d been about to pour himself a drink. One dark eyebrow arches upwards as he realizes why he recognizes that voice, and he lingers only a moment before he finishes pouring the bourbon into the glass. “Ariane.” He greets, turning to face her as he takes a sip. “Do I want to ask how you’re here, or why?” 

Her lips curl into a slight smile. She can almost see the cogs in his mind turning and it gives her a twisted sense of joy. When her name is spoken, the witch raises her fingers to her hood, pulling it down. She’s no longer tied to the Strix but she can’t bring herself to throw it again. It still gives her an air of mystery that she cannot step away from. “Just a visit. No need to be so defensive.”

He saved her, he took her under his wing… He’s helping her become the witch, the seer, that she was always meant to be. “So… You’re saying I should kill him.” She’s questioning it but only because she’s surprised that the mere idea of him encouraging her to do such a thing. “I mean, I’ll do it.”
