I've gotten many messages from console players and people who would like to download Silent Pines on the Gallery, so I took the time to upload every build!

You will find:

Each lot has a little description explaining what it is

How to find the builds; You can find the Silent Pines builds on the gallery by searching #silentpinessave as pictured above, or by searching my Gallery ID cosmoosims.

*MORE UPDATES COMING* I've heard the reports that the Harris household is crashing games, and I'm trying my best to find a fix for that. I think it must be the house itself, so I've uploaded a game items-only version on the gallery (aka without any custom items from the gallery) and an empty version as well. For now, let me know if that works!

V.1: Silent Pines, 1998 Special Credit: Silent Pines is heavily inspired by and uses a very similar style to the stunning @windbrook savefile by @folkling, the gorgeous portsim savefile by @florwal, and the amazing builds by @moonwoodmillz. Thank you all for your hard work, I take a lot of inspiration from you all. Silent Pines is a base-game only save file inspired by Life is Strange with 3 major worlds, a whole new set of townies, and a complete mystery to solve.

13 Community Lots

3 move-in ready homes for your sims

A total of 9 houses, 6 of which are filled with townies

18 households with jobs, story, and drama

A complete mystery to solve (should you want to)

I used S4Studio to rename all the worlds, and I've decorated all the neighbourhoods with T.O.O.L. As I said before, Silent Pines is completely base-game friendly, absolutely no packs or kits are used. There is some custom CC, mainly posters that add to the story. The CC is one package file and adds nothing other than some customisation to the story. It is not required.

For example the missing poster of Cleo Emerson, a girl who disappeared under mysterious circumstances;

DISCLAIMER: There have been reports of the 'build mode item missing' message popping up, especially in the downtown area. I've tried to fix this to the best of my ability, and I hope it's alright! ALSO: Due to the Sims 4 being a broken game, I really don't recommend playing Silent Pines with Rental Units, in case the T.O.O.L objects up and disappear lol.

Silent Pines is heavily inspired by Life is Strange, the Windbrook save file, florwalsims' Portsim save file, as well as the hazy nostalgia of the late 90s and early 2000s. I hope to see you all soon for V.2!

got the chance to playtest the incredible @silentpinessave and i am in LOVE! there's so much life in this save and it's SO nostalgic, the decor and the vibe is so clear and cohesive from lot to lot, and there are so many little details sprinkled in each lot that you can really dig into the stories; it really reminds me of the sims 3 (a high compliment bc that's my favorite of the sims series!!)

Silent Pines is almost here!

Silent Pines is a Base-Game-only save file set in the late 90s and is heavily inspired by Life is Strange. It's completely CC-free, but there are some optional bits of custom CC that add to the story!

I'm hoping to release Silent Pines on Saturday 23rd of March. Right now the save is being playtested (thank you to everyone who asked to playtest, I'm so happy to be sharing it with you!) I need to complete the families, finalise some details, and get everything ready for your sims to move into Silent Pines!

ahh i'm in love with your save! i've come back to sims after almost a year of not playing it and i'm really back into twin peaks at the moment and your save gives so many twin peaks vibes! really really looking forward to it :)

That's so kind, thank you! I must say, I've been playtesting the save when I'm tired of building and it's been a lot of fun, especially playing a legacy challenge or anything with goals and restrictions.

Silent Pines (Willow Creek): Life is Strange, other save files like Windbrook, etc.

Twilight Bay (Newcrest): Twilight, very obviously lol

Eclipse (Oasis Springs): Life is Strange 2, some parts of California, Arizona, just the 'desert' part of America really

It's been really fun trying to actualise these styles in the base game, even though it's a bit challenging sometimes. But I'm learning about how fun I can make the game even with no packs installed.

Do you have a gallery ID by any chance featuring some of your previous builds? Would love to have some in my game in the meantime. And fun anecdote (more of a dumb one actually) ; when I saw your post I was so excited I started recording a YouTube video for it and I waited until I read the whole post to be recording my reaction and as I was reading the post.. I read it was not finished! Hahahaha so I was ok I’m so dumb and stopped recording😅 looking forward to the save tho xoxo!

Very sorry for the late reply, but I do have a gallery ID! I will be sharing it alongside the release of Silent Pines v.1, but currently I don't have any builds on there.

A YT video would be amazing! Silent Pines is coming very soon, probably sometime next week around my birthday. But I will make a bigger announcement for it! I'm glad you're looking forward to the release.

Silent Pines Town Centre [Base Game]

This is a complete build for my base-game only save file: Silent Pines. The town centre includes: A gym and post office, a library, a dive bar and comedy club/community space, a cinema, a cafe/teen hangout spot, and a diner that's heavily inspired by Life is Strange.

Again, I'd like to say thank you to everyone who has supported this project this far. And I'm very sorry for the delay, but I only have the giant park left in Willow Creek to finish, then I'll upload Silent Pines by itself as I work on Eclipse (Oasis Springs) and Twilight Bay (Newcrest).

The sign is a CC sign that I drew and it's a very rough WIP. The graffiti on the post office (the white building) is also some custom CC from free graffiti packs. I know there's been malware in some CC/mods and people are rightfully wary, so I'll be putting a CC-free Silent Pines up as well! There's very little, anyway, and my CC is safe, but just in case.

Also, I will be getting to my asks the rest of this weekend! Thanks to everyone who has sent me one, and I'm sorry for the delay.

Silent Pines Café and Bookstore [Base Game]

This is a WIP build for my base game only save file: Silent Pines. I tried to furnish it last night and my brain couldn't do it, but today I managed to get it all finished! Silent Pines is set in the late 90s, early 2000s, so all the computers in the world are very old-looking, but I think it fits the vibe.

Next up: A community garden space.

The horror movie poster is by XFina on the gallery, and the room is called Movie Poster Paintings.

I unfortunately couldn't find the art of the black man in the afro because I didn't favourite the room it came in, whoopsie. You can find the polaroids by searching polaroids and filtering by rooms > base game > most popular!

The fake laundry set is by being_crystal and the room is called Decoration Washer & Dryer.

Thank you so much for the support! I'm glad to hear you like it already. I actually haven't heard of that mod before? That sounds like exactly my type of thing; I'm trying to make a vampire legacy challenge I can play without getting bored (thanks to my new favourite vampire Astarion from BG3) so I might check that out!

Hi! Unfortunately, I have no clue when Silent Pines will be ready. I'm hoping sometime in the next few months, as I'm starting college again next week. My course is rather intensive since I study science, but I'm hoping to relieve stress by building in Silent Pines steadily!

Here's the map of Silent Pines (Willow Creek) so far. It's coming along, but I definitely need to finish the shopping district at the bottom. Plus the gaping empty park in the middle, lol.

I swear I'm already obsessed with your save file, I was waiting one with vibes like this and only the base game because I don't have all the packs and almost every save requires all so yours is my lifesaver, plus it has lore😭😭

Church & Dragonfly Wedding Venue [Base Game]

This is a WIP build for my base game only save file: Silent Pines. This lot contains a small church, graveyard, and an inn/wedding venue. I've never built something like this before in the style of Silent Pines so I hope I'm doing it justice.

I also finished a motel lot, a library, and a dive bar/music store, so things are going well! Thank you again for all the love and support, it really motivates me to build <3

Hi. Can I ask what reshade/jishade preset you are using? :)

Hi! For screenshots, I use Reshade 5.9.1 with the preset Honeybee 2.0. This is the preset in these 2 photos:

I messed around with the settings for the deeper contrast and warmer colours you see in the 2nd photo.

For gameplay, I use By Candlelight. It's so gameplay-friendly, it's essentially just a colour overlay so it doesn't slow my game much, and I love the old feeling of it.

I stumbled on your Tumblr a few days ago, and I'm so glad that I did. I've been burnt out on The Sims for a couple months, but seeing the save you're building brought some spark back to me. I actually got excited to play, & eagerly look forward to when Silent Pines will be ready!

Hi anon! This is really kind of you to say, and I'm glad I could spark your interest back in ts4! I use so much CC in my personal save file that it kinda broke when the newest patch came out. So I put that on hold and turned to my Silent Pines idea, and I'm glad I did!
