After the other week’s Apothecary Diaries episode, I got this stupid idea in my head. Jinshi, but with Sailor Moon buns. And then I spent way too much time drawing a chibi that was supposed to be a joke. Anyway, the moon buns kinda work. I was going to give him a serious expression but the huff pout worked too.

I saw this prompt list for mermay and got stuck on this idea for the 31st. Initially I thought about a different illustration, but I decided on this because I was able to finish it quicker. Anyway just something cute.

As requested, a prequel illustration to a persona drawing from last year. It's been a while since I've drawn Persona stuff. I cheated and reused the background. I imagine the pool noodles are somewhere off to the side. I wonder who will win the shoulder war battle 😉

I really just wanted to draw a snow angel. And then I wanted to do a simple animation. I know the background snowball should be animated too, but I didn't want to. I might come back to it and add animation there. This is part of the spn as a children's book thing I'm working on. I thought a winter scene with some Calvin and Hobbes snowmen would be fun. We don't get snow here, so I've never really done any of this stuff. Stay warm out there ♡

I hope everyone has a great holiday season. Pretty much done minus some minor changes I might make later. Possibly changing hair or expressions. But for now, I'm kinda tired of working on it. Procreate says over 18 hours. Anyway, the idea is spn as a children's book and some seasonal images. I like the changes I made to the style I normally draw eyes in. I feel like it's working better. There's some stuff I'm not happy with, but I don't want to write that all out. A few fun things I added related to the series. A bit nervous to share here because idk if people will like it. ❤

I think I'm done. I spent a lot of time on this instead of other projects, but I was really enjoying it. I'm especially happy with the background. Going into it, I wasn't planning to do individual bricks, but I think they worked out nicely. Leading with a mockup because looking at how things would be if they were real is fun. ETA: I redid the art again and removed the old versions. This version matches the style of the newest pages I've made for this project.
So the super long writeup of where this idea came from. I watched Supernatural for the first time this year and it quickly became one of my favorite shows. I was sad there wasn't a pop classics series children's book to go with my Buffy and X-files ones, which got me thinking about what a Supernatural children's book would look like.
I've also watched a few convention videos and ran across a cute song the band sings when Misha - who plays Castiel - is running late to his panel, called Where's Misha. One thing led to another, the title of this fake children's book is Where's Cass. I might make a few more pages over the next few months until I get bored. There are a couple I want to do and it's a good exercise for working on backgrounds.
The thoughts for this specific page are centered around storybook characters speaking directly to the reader and the reader seeing things the characters don't. I liked it in the early seasons when Cass would pop in at odd locations, so that's why he is where he is. I'm not 100% on the font, but it seems okay with my art style. About half of the dialogue is direct quotes from episodes. There are two versions, a physical book version and a digital version - where Sam and Dean are a bit bigger because they don't need to not be on a fold line.
I used a 3d model for the perspective and outlines on the Impala. Eques_inferno on Sketch Fab "Chevrolet Impala 1967" which they have up for free. The colors and everything else was free-hand. Cars are hard, like a fourth character.
Anyway, I hope you all like this thing I made this week. ❤️❤️

Watching Supernatural for the first time and wanted to draw my favorite. A few different versions/steps. I drew his hair like in the Scooby episode but used the outfit from the earlier seasons because it made more sense with the wings. It's been a while since I've done a chibi like this, so it was fun to do

Just a silly thing I thought would be fun. Buffy the Vampire Slayer as a game in the style of Persona 3|4|5. You are the mysterious transfer student, moving to Sunnydale after getting kicked out of your old school for setting the gym on fire. All you want to do is go to class, make new friends, and live a normal high school life. The idea came from the combination of that post "The last TV show is now a crossover with the last video game you played." and a Buffy-themed tarot deck I didn't agree with some of the choices on. The major arcana is the Fool's Journey. The main character starts as The Fool and ends as The World. This would be Buffy. In the Persona games, your team is usually what ranks up your Fool arcana, so I put that there. The second video is who I think fits best for each arcana. I used two sources to help fit characters to arcana. The Fool’s Journey and Persona: Every Arcana In The Series I struggled a bit with Xander as he isn't really magically inclined but Magicians often tend to be the male best friend and Yosuke reminded me of him a lot. Plus he fits well as the masculine counterpart to Willow as the High Priestess. Angel's arcana is not anything about shipping, but his placement initially in the story. Spike seemed to fit Chariot so well, especially looking at his season three episode. There are only twenty free cards excluding the first and last, and way more characters than that, so I tried to mostly place major characters or recurring characters. I made a list for Angel characters, so anyone who is only in that series would be sorted there. All of the dialogue in the second video was taken from Welcome to the Hellmouth where Buffy and Giles first meet. A few notes on the art and the display. I wanted everything to have the style of Persona, so I reskinned the S. Links page and the dialogue to fit more with a Buffy theme. The pink-purple color I used was from a Buffy game and I thought it added that girly touch. The dialogue box was styled after Persona 4 but thought making it kind of an old book texture would work. I liked the way the date in Persona 5 is, so I went with that style, a more Buffy font, and that pink-purple color. I'm not really a UI designer, so it's not the best. This also isn't really an art style I typically draw in, so it's not as good as it could be. I generally draw more chibi and some of that crept in while I was trying to do a more Persona style. I'm not really happy with the expressions, but I'm sure a better artist could make a much better version. The background is an image of the library with a filter, it kind of fits how P3P shows their dialogue. The videos don't have audio as trying to get voice-over and sound effects to work is not something I'm great at. These are two of my favorite series and I think they have some similar themes. I hope people like this silly thing I made. This was just a fun project to combine things I like and practice drawing in a different style.

Was watching Buffy and wanted to draw this bit from s2e2. I just kinda liked the contrast of wholesome and creepy. I thought about adding text to the tombstone, but I don't think I'm going to.

Random emote type thing. I wanted to see how the p3/4/5 heroes would look with the Anya smug face in my style. I didn't really like the sketch so I stopped working on it, but I decided to finish it so I'd have something to post. They all look out of character, except maybe femc.

I thought a campfire scene would be fun. With marshmallows. I wanted to animate the campfire, but only that. I also did a second version with them smiling.

I wasn’t happy with how they looked in the older picture from last year. It was the first time I’d really drawn them in this style. I decided to redraw it using what I learned this past year. I'm much happier with how it looks now. Two versions, first time fishing (mini-comic and gif) vs. all trips after. I think they’d make cute stickers. I have fond memories of fishing as a kid, so I’m a sucker for any rpg with a fishing mini-game.
