This is something I didn’t want to do, but certain comments just were the drop that overflowed the glass.

Ever since S1 we’ve been getting non-stop hate mail (which I never post because it only gives them power) on how we are a fixed competition, that it sucks the way we manage the competition, that the rules suck, that it’s boring, etc.Which, to a certain extent I might understand, because we are still on the experimenting phase,we don’t know what rules to specifically apply because we want to include everyone, meaning those that have a load of experience editing, and new comers. 

But apparently, the division and controversy is never ending. How is it that one single winner can unleash a hoard of hate,insults, droppings etc. It’s a game, our main purpose for this was to get us involved and united as a community who share an affinity for the sims. It’s not the prizes, or the fact who comes first that matters. So it really upsets me when people have the nerve to come up to me and tell me that this is poorly done, I’ve worked my ass off messaging the most accounts, begged everyone to help with prizes and ways to involve more people and not even for personal gain because the only account I have that involves sims is this one. I erased my own rp to make this work, I’ve stayed up far too late to contact some people and it drives me insane when people can’t stand that someone who is below their editorial level won ONE challenge,was in the top, or because I didn’t reply in 0.5 seconds to a full length book. I take time to reply, we get a lot of messages, I have a full on going life away from this race but even if I feel like crap or if I’m super busy I’ve tried to post every challenge on time, reply to every complaint and give a fair critique so when people complain and don’t get the true meaning of what we intended with the race I just can’t. 

I can say I’m truly not willing to continue, in a matter of two days more than 3 contestants have dropped out, gotten hate messages on boring and unfair we are, “called me out” on how rules were not set properly, on how I’m rude and never reply. THAT’S EXACTLY WHY I ASK FOR SUGGESTIONS BEFORE WE START THE RACE ON THE SIDE BLOG. As I said, we are on the experimental stage still, we don’t want to exclude everyone that can’t fully edit a straight in game shot to look fantastic. Most of us started by merging, and trying different styles. I get that more advanced editors might be upset because of the time it took to do one challenge, but it’s a race. Most of you watched my previous season and saw that at the beginning most people merge. I try to guide, give help on editing and suggest to slowly leave the merging or mostly use your sim. But it’s really unfair to ask me to drop everyone who can’t fully edit, or to put a set list of rules that exclude them,they might no be my type of editing style, but they’re still a part of the community just like everyone of us, they need to start somewhere along with some help and fun from a community that is supposed to be fun and safe, not toxic as I’ve experienced so far and yet decided to ignore that. 

They’re still some really sweet people who always give it their all, messages nice things and are just amazing and thank you everyone who’s been this way. I truly appreciate you but I don’t feel like continuing this season. I will still most likely be online and might eventually continue with the race, but I just don’t have the will to continue with something people don’t even feel it’s worthwhile. 

We might continue, but right now I just don’t feel inspired to. I apologize if ever sounded rude, or if I didn’t reply and to those who truly gave their best every challenge for now season 2 is cancelled and we will see when we shall continue.

This week’s challenge was as expected mind blowing and we are getting to see every challenge what great competition we have. I would post my comments, but my fellow judges said everything.

So this week’s top three are:

Thais Ribeiro: Girl, this for me is such a comeback this week. You literally grabbed this challenge by the neck and killed it. Your picture is beyond mesmerizing and we hope you keep up the good job and amaze us. You are this week’s winner.

Valkyria : Your take on the challenge had us amazed.  I love the fact that you look evil, yet intriguing and being the only model who isn’t in the open sea. Keep up the amazing work. 

  Esmeralda: This week was redemption week, and you came through. You’re the only model on the shore and your whole mermaid queen style kept me wanting more You look incredible and we are proud. Great job, keep it up. 

And as you know there will be no elimination this challenge, but I do recommend you read our judges advice to keep and eye on it. Most of you did great jobs as well, and some other’s were saved by the fact of their being no elimination. Step it up,we know you have it.

                                              Challenge #2

Okay, do you guys hear that? If you said it must be a mermaid call, you’re right! For our second challenge our models had to submerge into the mythical world of mermaids. 

So here are our incredible submission which once again, prove us that this season no one playing around. 

Sadly, we had three models that didn’t complete the challenge, one simply disappeared into thin air and the other two didn’t come through. Istar Caster, Sage Blondeau  and Emery Alverado it’s disappointing and you are out.

                                          RESULTS ARE IN!

Unlike last season, results will now be posted in one single post and instead of reposting the pictures, and always we’ll be posting the available judges critiques. 

So here we go, and let me just add to say that we are very impressed/proud of the outcome of this first challenge. We can foreshadow that we will have a tough time picking winners, and this season will be neck to neck.

So here we go, first we have our safe models.

Elyse Harrington: We do believe that your picture reflects the 70′s era quite nicely, even though you did not focus of the “Disco Fever” part, but this being a relative open challenge, you did a good job.

Bynlee McCrary: You truly portrayed the Disco Fever theme down to the bone, however for future challenges, just keep an eye for how quality ends up looking, don’t get me wrong it doesn’t look bad quality wise, but it could use a little improvement. 

Valkyria: You look brought it this challenge, you look truly amazing but your picture was missing something. Your picture looks amazing as an editorial but for this challenge we did need a little more action but great job.

Natalia :   You look like an unapologetic 70′s diva, the background is a little debatable. I won’t go all the way to say it isn’t 70′s but it was just missing an extra boom to make it complete, but amazing first challenge.  

Emery Alverado: You are embodying the 70′s in more of the flower power movement, which as I said before will be accepted because it is more of an open concept challenge,  but we are missing the disco party vibes in this. You do look good, but our mind doesn’t immediately go to 70′s.

Istar Caster : You do look great,I will admit and the bodysuit and coat are giving the 70′s vibe but maybe a different hairstyle and background would’ve taken this to another level and in this challenge, you were just lacking. We expect more from now on.

Aimée: I won’t lie, I am not a big fan of the final editing with the whole movement/blurry look but something just gives me 70′s vibes. It does look great as an editorial 70′s perhaps, we know you are capable of bringing incredible looks and we hope to see it in the upcoming challenges.

Thais Ribeiro :  You are channeling 70′s era, but be careful with the final editing style, this time it worked because of the challenge but be careful we like how you took the challenge and expect great things. Martina Wahlberg : I don’t know why, but something gives me 70′s singer vibes,we like the look however the quality was missing. We like the idea, but remember as I said execution is key as well.

Lana Lourdes : Lana, you brought it. We love your challenge, from your pose, your look, the expression, quality. You set a high bar to yourself and we expect great things from now from you.

Apsu Brennt:  Apsu, you S L A Y E D this challenge. You look, the fun you have, the background etc. You just did an outstanding job and we are please to say you are the winner of this challenge. We hope you continue with the amazing job. 

Remus Sirion : As it was mentioned before, I love the fact that you still kept your mysterious style in the picture even though the challenge seemed to be completely our of your comfort zone, and the outcome was amazing. We hope to see more of you, and how you keep on taking each challenge, Great job. 

Sophie Halkias : Sophie we also love your picture with a fervent passion, I love how you managed to include someone else and yet all the attention goes to you. Great job,love. and our bottom three...

Esmeralda: While the quality of the picture is great, and the editorial look is fabulous, I don’t see anything 70′s related. I found no link to the era but I know you can bring so much more to the table, so we hope to see it the upcoming challenges. 

Sage Blondeau : While the look is familiar with the 70′s fashion line, that’s about it. We don’t like the fact that you used a big gold drape looking background, we can’t really see you standing out but I know you have much more to give and hope to see it. 

Sage: I like the outfit, but the pose and final edit look isn’t quite there. The pose is a bit awkward and we just needed a little more. We like how you stand out in the picture, but we need to work more on the pose. 

For this being our first challenge, I am quite impressed with the quality and effort I see in every  picture and consider it to be unfair if I let one go so fast. For this reason only, no one is eliminated this challenge, however don’ rely on this to happen again. We want to see you all bring it this next challenge, and we will have our first elimination next challenge. Amazing job, and we expect more.

So after asking some of our contestants, judges opinions, reviewing past challenge taking into consideration consistency, how well the did, past wins,tops and bottoms we have a winner.

Lia: We are so proud of you, you’ve been giving it your all since day one, constantly impressing us with your take on the challenges, we have decided that your are our winner. You deserve it!

As this season is about to end, each decision gets harder every week and I just wanted to tell you girls, you’ve made this race amazing, so thank you very much!

Lia: For the second time in a row, you blew us away. Your picture is clearly referenced from pop art fashion inspired photography,they were a few things that could’ve been better but it was great and your beauty shot left us blown away. Great job! 

Louna : Your pop art picture is to die for! The pop art reference is clearly there without a doubt, great job on that one! Your beauty shot however could’ve been better, we feel as if your hand placement is a little off and left us wanting more,but you’re definitely in our top two.   Welcome to our top two!

And now,the hard part…

Calypso: Your pop art picture, didn’t make us think in pop art. When we think pop art, we picture bright colors, a variation of them, etc and all we got were pastel pink and white. Your beauty shot just like Louna, we weren’t in love with the hand placement and for those reasons, we have to let you go. Thank you so much for everything, you did amazing and you so deserve to be here, you’re our third place in our first season. Congrats and we wish you the best!

                                    RESULTS ARE IN!

So we’re at out final four, and as this season is ending,this gets harder every week.

First, we have our winner and that is...

Lia: The judges and I were blown away. Everything about your picture is Plastik magazine the color, the pose simply amazing,just great. 

And now,the hard part...

Calypso: Your picture totally screamed plastik vibes as well, if you looked a little more like the dolls this would’ve been perfect.

Louna : We’re not arguing that the picture in general isn’t good, because it is. But it just didn’t scream plastik as the others, we like it but it did not scream plastik to us,yet we know it’s in you to do great things that’s why you’re still in. 

Sofia: We just don’t know what happened this week, we didn’t not get any plastik vibes, the picture overall is very opaque,  not getting any plastik vibes whatsoever and we just don’t know what happened. We know you’re an amazing model, but this week was just not working and for that reason we must let you go. Thank you so much for everything, we know you will do great things!
