Hey everyone! Sorry, I haven’t posted in a while but life has been crazy. This blog is not abandoned, and I’m planning to get some posts out over the weekend. I started a full-time treatment program for an ED a couple weeks ago and it has been way harder and more stressful than I thought, so sims hasn’t really been a priority. It’s been hard to find time for myself to sit down and relax and I’ve even had to put a lot of actual priorities on the back burner.
Hope you’re all doing good ❤️

"This is my wife, Blaire. She has recently given birth to our son, Hubert. He can be quite loud, so I hope you don't mind that your room is right next to his."
"A wife and a son... I can't believe how grown up you've gotten. Last time I saw you you were just a boy..." Lucy sighed.
"Yes... And Josie has a family of her own too. A boy and a girl. Her oldest is probably about the same age as..." Cornelius paused and looked towards Lucy's youngest daughter.
"Oh yes! I'm sorry, I've forgotten my manners. These are my girls, Effie and Della. They're all I have left now."

One day, as Blaire and Cornelius was about to finish their dinner, they heard a knock on the door.
They often had friends or family visit unannounced, especially now that Hubert was born, so this usually wasn't anything out of the ordinary.
However, Cornelius was shocked when he answered the door.
"...Lucy?" He gasped. "Is that really you?"
"I'm sorry, Cornelius. I know you must hate me now, but I simply didn't know where else to go! Something terrible has happened... Joseph... My husband... He's... He's been sick for a while. He died a few nights ago. We were poor as it was. Now we have nothing. Me and my girls are all alone."
"Shh, Lucy. It is alright. I'm glad you came to me. I am sure everyone will be happy to see you as well. Now, you and your girls can come inside and stay with us for a while until everything gets settled. I am certain my wife won't mind. Mother and father has plenty of money, I am sure they can spare you some so you can find something more permanent for you and your children."

After several failed attempts, Blaire finally realized she was pregnant at the beginning of spring. Her and Cornelius had wished for a child for a long time, and they were so happy they had finally been succesful.
Josephine came over almost every day once she heard of the news. She had felt so alone during her own pregnancy, so she wanted to be there for support. It was a great comfort for Blaire to have someone to lean on during these new and exciting times.

Cornelius was quickly able to find work as a judge, given his impressive degree. It's a very taxing job that leads him working long hours every day. This leaves Blaire with a lot of free time. She's used to spending time at school or with her parents. Now she's all alone in that big house, with nothing to do.
So, she has begun to visit Cornelius' sister, Josephine, quite a lot. Josephine has already been married a little while, so she's able to provide Blaire with some insight into married life. Blaire also loves spending time with Josephine's son, Matthew. It only made her wish for a child of her own even more.

Lucy is still living in Henford-On-Bagley with Joseph. She is currently pregnant with her second child, which is putting her under a lot of stress since Joseph's farm work is not bringing in a lot of money.
She tries to put on a brave face for her oldest daughter, Effie, who is very excited to have a younger sibling to play with.
Effie is almost a true copy of Lucy when she was a child. They are very similar in both looks and personality. Lucy is happy to be raising her children in a similar way as to how her childhood was: playing outside on the farm, and making friends with animals (although the animals aren't exactly on Effie's good side.)
She often thinks of her family, and sometimes wonders if she made the right choice. She loves Joseph, but the small family is barely making ends meet. If they keep having children, they soon won't be able to fit in their home, but it's not like they can afford anything else. If she had married Hector she knows life would be a lot more comfortable.

Hi what version of the decades challenge are you playing if you don't mind me asking? :)
Hi! My Decades challenge is based on these rules, but I use them more as guidelines. There are a bunch of stuff I ignore, because it's simply not how I wanna play my game, but for the most part these are the ones I follow.

Once Cornelius returned from Britechester University, there was only one thing one his mind. His love, Blaire. They had only been able to communicate through letters during his time away, and he couldn't wait to see her again.
So, the first thing he did was to run to her house. This was all that had kept him going during the hard times at university. He was doing it all for her. Bettering himself and getting an education was an investment towards their future together. The only thing left now, was to ask her to marry him.
Cornelius had bought a ring for her on his journey home. It was his family, who had provided the money. They were more than happy to help him, and they all approved of Blaire.
Blaire, of course, was overjoyed with the proposal. There were no doubts in her mind, and she immediately accepted.

The 1890's started off in Brindleton Bay with founders Abraham and Nellie. They lived in a small yellow farmhouse, where Abraham would take care of the farm and work on his writing on the side.
Then they had their first baby, Lucy. They had struggled quite a bit with having children, so they were overjoyed when Lucy joined the family.
Once Lucy was a toddler, they had their second child, Josephine.
And then after a bit of time they had Cornelius, their third and final child.
When Lucy was a teen, she met Joseph, who her father had hired to help him assist the farm. Abraham eventually found out the two had become friends and forbade them from seeing each other.
They kept sneaking around, and eventually started going further.
Cornelius started going to school, and quickly became the victim of vicious bullying. Here he first met Blaire, who was the only person who would ever stand up for him, but he was too scared to talk to her.
The family then moved to a much bigger house, still located in Brindleton Bay. Everyone was happy, except for Lucy, because this would make it harder for her to see Joseph.
Lucy and Joseph kept sneaking around and was eventually caught by Josephine, who proceeded to tell Abraham and Nellie.
They then tried to force Lucy to marry another man. Lucy refused and chose to run away with Joseph instead.
Lucy and Joseph left to Henford-On-Bagley and cut off both of their families in the process.
Cornelius became a teen and finally built up the courage to talk to the girl from his childhood, Blaire. She rejected him and called him a coward.
Cornelius decided he didn't want to be a coward anymore and got in a fight with a boy for calling his sister a whore.
This made Blaire apologize and the two started being friends.
Josephine became engaged to a man named Raymond Carrigan.
Cornelius invited Blaire to the wedding and she accepted.
Josephine got married.
Cornelius and Blaire shared their first kiss at the wedding.
Josephine had her first child, a baby boy named Matthew.
And finally, Cornelius became a young adult and went off to go to university. He promised Blaire he'd marry her once he returns.

It's time for Cornelius' birthday. He ages up into a smart-looking young man, who is excited to set his mark on the world.
Cornelius has decided he wants to get a history degree at Britechester. So he leaves his family behind to go to university.
He couldn't leave without saying goodbye to Blaire. He promises her that he will marry her once he comes back, and she agrees to wait for him.
(the 1900's will pick up when Cornelius comes home from uni!)

Josephine and Raymond have moved to a big house by the beach. They live fairly close to the rest of the family so they still get to see each other quite a lot.
Josephine has even given birth to the couple's first child. A little baby boy named Matthew.
He is already loved by everyone in the family.
