Chestnut Ridge Boarding House

Met by a statue in honour of the first miners in town, when families first arrive in Chestnut Ridge after months of travelling across the canyon and prairie, many settle in the local boarding house.

The boarding house is located along the Main Street of Chestnut Ridge across from the stables and riding range right next to the railway tracks.

Here they can pop to the general store for provisions, play a board game in the shade under the train station roof and share a drink at the local saloon, before ending the evening with a warm bath in the bathhouse.

The boardinghouse itself has a pristine white facade and has room for 4 lodgers in each of the rooms that can be rented for cheap. Downstairs is the private quarters for Miss Galloway and her daughter who runs the boardinghouse and a shared lounge for the tenants. Miss Galloway will cook for residents, morning and evening and for an extra fee take care of the laundry.

The boarding house comes with strict rules and curfews, with absolutely no romantic gestures allowed for unmarried sims. This is a proper town. For proper sims. Well, it was… until a new wave of immigrant farmers from Europe moved in…

for the longest time ever I just couldn't figure out what to do with newcrest, especially the llama lagoon region and it was so frustrating 'cause it's so beautiful and has lots of potential and finallyyyy I managed to find the perfect lots for it (at least imo)

so I wanted to share them (they're all on the gallery) if anyone else was on the lookout for those cozy small town vibes, I just love it sm 😭
