Yes! I just got it and I LOVED IT!!!!!!!! The way you wrote Adam and Declan bonding and the slow progression to Adam realizing that Declan was just worried Adam would leave his brother was all just *chef’s kiss* perfection! And I loved your parallels between their fathers, omg Declan does not get enough credit for how much loves his family. And the little detail of Declan picking Indian food for his birthday dinner to make his brothers happy -- ahhh, there were just a million little things I loved about this fic, thank you so much for the gift! <3 <3

Pynch Secret Santa

This event is for fics and art only. For fics, we ask for a minimum of 1,500 words and no entries that are only moodboards. We’re trying to keep it fair for all involved.

We will be making an ao3 collection closer to the posting dates. You aren’t required to post your work to ao3 but you are certainly welcome to!

thinking about how much adam trusts ronan. he sleeps on his hearing side when ronan is in bed with him. he lets ronan spot for him when he’s scrying and at his most vulnerable. his faith in ronan doesn’t even waver when ronan’s literally pointing a gun at him — bearing in mind this is adam parrish, whose default setting in life is mistrust and caution as a defence mechanism to the point where it’s literally a character trait for him. and his trust in ronan has never wavered even for a second. that’s fucking huge.

I finally reached 3K followers!!! I´m absolutely amazed and very very grateful to you all. So to celebrate it I´ve decided to do an art giveaway!

The giveaway will consist on:

Full coloured piece with background (might depend on the type of prompt). The winners will receive a 300 DPI high res file.

I´ll pick 3 winners and they will be selected by a random generator.

The 3 prices will be equal. There’s no 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Only fanart. The winners can ask for fanart from any fandom they want (books, movies, tv shows) though, as I always say, it´ll be better if at least I know the thing.

Up to 2 characters.

WON´T DO: explicit NSFW, violence and furries (+ I reserve the right to turn down any prompt that makes me uncomfortable)

Because you answered my last question so well, i'm eager to get your opinion on this: what do you think, in CDtH, Ronan meant when he thought "please" after first seeing Adam. I could never decide, I thought he was still in denial, so maybe he hoped Adam would not be a temptation which would force him to question his sexuality more. What do you think?

that’s one interpretation, but it’s definitely not how i read it.

to me, plain and simple, the please was, for lack of a better word... yearning. desire. longing. a subconscious plea of this one, please, God, I want this one. 

(after all, the first sentence of the chapter is “Adam Parrish. This was how it had begun:” the start of their relationship, their romance, their love story. if the “please” was about ronan begging to not want adam, that wouldn’t be much of a romantic beginning, would it?) 

of course it goes without saying ronan was still in denial; but that doesn’t take away from the fact that something in him recognised something in adam right away, and that he fell for him at first sight -- even if he didn’t fully understand it at the time. and that’s why the prayer is both "inexplicable” and “desperate”.

I forgive a lot of y'all cause you're young and still dependent on your parents. You don't have time or distance, Tony does. A lot of y'all aren't raising kids (yet). Tony is much older than Howard. He's dealt with things Howard couldn't imagine. Tony's a father and understands what that means, how that changes you, and your perspectives. I've seen that first-hand in many men in my life. That moment isn't about Howard, it's about Tony. It's about forgiveness. Ending the cycle of pain. He's the kind of father he had wanted. He hopes to impart this wisdom so that this version of Tony may fare better. That's incredibly noble. Y'all are choosing to see what's not there.
