After watching some youtube videos of folks personalizing their tarot decks I’ve decided to create a color your own version of my new project (the Floribunda deck, coming 2017). I wish I could work faster! I’ve been pulling marathon sessions at the drawing table to get the art for these new decks and my botanical cards done. So many things to draw, so little time! Card by card, hour by hour. I did finally settle on a name for this project, Floribunda Mìstica - it will use the minor arcana as a playing card deck and a full size tarot deck will follow. I read cards at a large event on Friday night and though I took a traditional tarot deck I found myself reaching for the Lenormand cards most often. When reading rapid fire with folks I am not going to have a lot of time with, Lenormand makes it direct and easy. I was nervous about reading at such a large event but it was actually amazing, no time for self doubt, just go go go. I’m ready to take on more challenges like that.

Fellow diviners, help me out here! What are your strategies for reading at large events? How do you connect and give value to individuals when you are in that kind of environment? Any tricks to help maintain focus in a potentially loud or chaotic place? I’m very comfortable doing readings but I’ve never attempted it at a party type environment. I’m thinking Lenormand might be better than Tarot for this? Tell me all your event reading secrets please!
