It's true! Every time I visited him, a different lover answered the door and it was never talked about.

I have no idea why that was a thing in this dream. A lot happened in it. It felt like three years.

Had another weird dream recently.

I wouldn't say it was pleasant enough to be a full-on dream, but it wasn't scary enough to be a full-blown nightmare either for me. It was just weird and kind of unsettling at times. Especially since it was one of those very Vivid ones, where I could kind of feel textures and whatnot. I get those a lot

I had a dream I was married to a man who looked like a skeleton, plant thing? Like he looked like a skeleton, but I remember in the dream I held his hands a few times and they felt like skin, made of leaves, so I don't know.

Maybe he was just a plant guy who happened to look like a human skeleton. He had a venus fly trap inspired suit. His hair felt like slimey rose petals in my hands.

He looked like this. Don't quite remember the name he had... I think it started with an A. I guess I'll just call him Aaron.

Even weirder, we had a son, and he looked like this

In my dream, he came from my husband, who cut off his finger and planted it in a pot on the windowsill, he made sure to water it every day until our weird son emerged from the soil.

He wouldn't stop staring at me.

I think more people would be inclined to donate to your Ko-Fi if you posted art and fan-fics on what people want to see from you.

You had several interesting and popular projects that I'm sure people would eat up more of if you continue them and you could balance your original stuff with the popular stuff so to prevent burn out.

Just a humble suggestion from a anon.

You would think so, right?

Even if (when) I took turns posting a fandom thing and an original thing over and over and over.

Guess which thing gets more attention?

I haven't been in the mood to make "popular" things right now.

Because we're talking over text like this I can't quite read your tone. Maybe you are genuinely trying to be helpful, but most of the time when people send me things like this, it comes across as very patronizing. Or smug. Again, not necessarily saying this is what you're doing, but a lot of other times people have done this, it was there not so subtle way of trying to get me to draw and write what they want.

I keep getting asks about "bringing back" things (of which few people have elaborated what they want me to specifically bring back. Save for a few who mentioned so I don't even really know what they consider to be my popular stuff)

Art is not my main business right now.

It's just one of the things keeping me sane. I'm not making much money off of it in general. It bums me out, but it's fine.

Other than my pinned post I haven't asked people to donate to it for a while.

Because last time I did, was when my dog was dying. And we thought we could save him.

We couldn't.

And I am still devastated.

So sorry if I'm not in the mood to make "popular" things right now.

I have a picture of what Buddy looked like the very last time I got to see him. His face as the cancer got so bad we had to put him down.

That picture, is the last image of him I have, other than the mental image of the vet taking his lifeless body out of the room.

I am well aware that I'm not making much money with my art right now. I'm trying to get a second job. So I don't appreciate it when people come in trying to give me "humble advice" that I have tried before that didn't work. Especially during sensitive times like right now.

Please people, stop. If I want to make fan art, I will. Just let me make that call on my own.

It's not a problem if someone asks me if I'm going to bring something back. But when people keep saying "when are you going to do this" like I'm obligated, it only burns me out faster.

If I want to draw a fandom thing, I will and if I don't want to I won't. It's as simple as that. If you guys really want me to draw something then commission me. If not, let me draw what I want to. Because unless I'm getting paid for it, I have no obligation.

You know, I was starting to feel some motivation to draw some Andy's apple farm earlier today, and now I'm not so sure.

EDIT: Also, when I made/make fandom stuff, I don't do it because it's popular. I do it because I like it. Because it's fun for me.

I have changed my mind. While doing these Hazbin reimagines, I'm starting to fall in love with them and the concepts. I don't want these to be some HH redo. I want to make them my own characters.

Instead of Alastor, I will have Alzucard.

Instead of Charlie, I will have Celeste, daughter of Lucifer and ruler of limbo.

The last, being half Angel and half demon, is in between holy and Unholy. She wants to make sure that others can. She wants to help people make good choices in the long run.

Celeste grew up strangely. Similar to joined custody, she sent some parts of her childhood in heaven and some parts in hell. Conflicted between the ideals of some people deserve to burn forever, and people who are flawed deserve an extra chance, she wants to help others who are a bit "in between" as well.

Her nest friend, practically brother to her, Alzucard, is a demon she met whenever it was Lucifer's time to take her. However Lucifer having no interest in this child often neglected her, or at the very least was inattentive.

Thanks to this, as a child she wandered around hell alone, and met a hellborn demon. Alzucard. While far from a saint, he treated her with decency. Demon or not, he is a firm believer of etiquette at the very least.

With her passion and Power, and his business savvy support, they work together to make a program to help people in the afterlife to better themselves and, if possible, make it to heaven.

The task is not easy. Guiding those in limbo is one thing, but can people sent to hell be redeemed? Should they even be given the chance? Neither of them are sure.

They do know one thing, they can't make it any worse, right?

Alastor rant

Clearly I'm still working out the concepts, but I feel like I'm getting close and I wanted to talk about my ideas.

So, Alastor, the overlord, the sinner, the cannibal, the mysterious-

Okay, I'm messing around. Alastor does not live up to the description.

Alastor has Irked me for a while. I know all of the characters have, but Alastor in particular feels like one of the most disappointing, world breaking nothing of a character.

He's not scary, he doesn't look like a deer, his suit makes no sense, his motives don't make any sense.

He hates television yet the first thing we hear from him in the show is a TV ad. For some reason he's "really powerful" (for no reason), yet does next to nothing in the fight against Adam and is basically useless.

The only reason there's a manipulation works on Charlie is because she's written to be completely brainless. At least the pilot Charlie knew he was untrustworthy but was just trying to stick with her principles. Charlie in the show is a brainless mouth.

Alastor's rivalry with Lucifer is random, unexplained, and pointless.

I have a lot of issues with this "deer"

If only angel weapons can kill sinners, how come he does it all the time no problem? If he's ranked below Charlie why is she scared of him? If he doesn't believe in this hotel and does nothing to gain from it personally, why is he there? He doesn't even seem that happy to be there most of the time. Sure he smiles, but he always does that.

Why is he here?

What does he do? How does he help? How does he not help? Is he there to help? Is he there for entertainment like it was in the pilot? Does he like being there? Does he not like being there? Does he want to see the project fail or succeed? Does he care? Does he not care?

He is just.. there. He says some vague things that should be red flags, then does nothing.

(Maybe Charlie can't see the red flags because they blend in with every other red thing in the environment)

Also, I hate the fact that he's apparently asexual because he "can't find it in himsepf to care for others"

As an asexual person, I hate that so much. He doesn't need to have a reason to be asexual. He can just BE asexual. (Also being asexual does not mean that you don't care about people! It's just a way to describe a lack of sexual attraction and the different levels it's experienced.)

Also, for the longest time I had no idea Alastor was apparently mixed race. Apparently he is black or something? I honestly can't tell.

A lot of other people have discussed that though, and they would probably know more than I would as a white guy myself, so I reccomend seeing what POC have to say about it because they probably have more valuable things to share. Obviously, Racism is awful.

And it really doesn't help that one of the only characters in this show that's supposed to be a person of color, is a heartless, selfish, pompous cannibal.

If any person of color has something they would like to share, feel free to comment on this post, I want to hear a variety of opinions.

I have so many issues with this character, that redesigning him isn't enough for me. I want to completely reimagine him.

I will post that soon, I just wanted to let some of my frustrations out beforehand so I didn't make that post besides one novel. It will probably still be long, but hopefully this will shorten it a little bit.

Weird idea(s) for my Reimagined Hazbin thing:

I might give it a new name soon. Just so we can differentiate it from the original one. Because the more I do this the more I kind of wish this was my own story but wish it also wasn't. I have mixed feelings.

Charlie is technically hald angel, because Lucifer is her father.

But her personality is so unbelievably doe-eyed innocent to the point where it's really frustrating and doesn't make sense. That's something we all know. I've said it before, many others have said it, not a new take.

But I do have a weird concept for my rewrite. I have my jungle for that she keeps This truly horrifying form hidden underneath her porcelain doll like exterior. It's a concept I've played with before. (More under the cut)

I like the idea sje made this rehab project out of some spite against Lucifer. If Lucifer restaurant of Heaven for trying to be better than God, maybe Charlie is trying to be better than Lucifer. In a sense it's come full circle.

But it made me think, would have been really reject her so much just because she happened to be related to lucifer? Would they have let her into heaven at some point?

Does Lucifer have shared custody with Lilith in heaven?? Because we see Charlie get taken away as a child, but she's still in hell right now?

Did she go to hell my choice? Was she forced to go? Is it a shared custody thing and then she decided to stay in hell in adulthood?

Part of me is actually kind of curious to explore what that kind of childhood would be like to experience.

And I do wonder if maybe I should explore that in my reimagined version of her. Did she spend part of her childhood in heaven and part of it in hell?

And I also thought about her role in hell overall. Lucifer is immortal, so why have anybody possibly inherit the throne? What is the point of that? Especially for somebody who is infamously selfish and prideful like Lucifer.

Is she not quite holy and not quite unholy?

And then I had a thought.

Maybe her domain isn't heaven, and it isn't hell.

It's limbo, the in between.

I like the idea that she's full of conflicting intentions, just as her childhood was. Does she question her own motives? Is she actually doing this for the greater good or to prove a point? That's what I want to explore. I like the idea that she still has a cutesy exterior, but her true form is barely contained.

She suppressed it, she denies it, she doesn't want to be a demon, but it's part if her, she too, is flawed. She wants to believe she is a wise moral compass, but she too, is lost.

Maybe she has some friends in hell and some in heaven.

It might be a weird concept, but isn't that the point of Indie projects? To experiment? To try other things? See what happens.

Piers: the first time I met my little brother in law, was when I was 16 and staying over for the night. He was 6 and a itti bitti thing. Hid behind stuff the entire time and I was worried that he was scared of my goth ass. Well, the next morning I woke up to my formerly ripped jeans being 'fixed' with wooloo shaped patches and obstagoon munching on treats. This kid that Barley reached my waist calculated all of my moves over an evening, bribed my beloved killing machine, all to fix up my clothing.

if Broadway doesn’t want bootlegs floating around then they need to get their act together and make legal recordings.  you can say all you want that theater is meant to be enjoyed live, but the fact of the matter is not everybody can get to NYC to go to a Broadway show.  not everybody can afford to take the time off of work and buy a plane ticket to NYC and buy a night in a hotel AND get the ticket to the show.  people want to see the shows, that’s why there’s a bootleg market in the first place, but it’s unreasonable to expect that everyone has the time, money, and ability to make it out to the one place in the world to see something on Broadway, especially if it’s a limited engagement.  so record that shit, slap some subtitles on it, and sell it so we can buy it legally.
